hey
i got an awesome sari from India Sari Palace on 74th street, you have to bargain with them though..
theres another great store but its a couple of blocks away, called Pashmina, if you walk towards the theater and cross that main street, its a few stores down from the corner...
pashmina also has great jewelry in the adjoining store (both are pashmina) theyre a bit pricey, but their quality is awesome
theres another place and im forgetting the name, is right across the street from ISP which has modern saris.... all the other stores have saris but are of terrible quality... i'll let you know if i think of anything else, good luck!
those are some places that soon2bmrsg recommended...let me know how it goes b/c i need to get my wedding sari too!!

Re: OFFICIAL Indian 'Desi' Wedding Thread
doing sareees, it easier, it more indian, i didnt want to do dresses , because everyone would not look right in dresses, and i feel that sarees enhanced their curves better , i mean hide them !!!!
