Re: OFFICIAL Indian 'Desi' Wedding Thread

Really. Maybe she will change by the time we get closer to the wedding. Right now, she's just not interested at all. I hope things change closer to the wedding, otherwise I will change.

Re: OFFICIAL Indian 'Desi' Wedding Thread

hey yall,

lots of changes going on in my life :) we're leaving for london today for good.. its so sad saying bye to my close friends and family, it makes me not want to go..... but as everyone says and i know, it'll be a blast AND im coming back in 2 years..... so, i think once i get there and past all the goodbyes i'll be fine :)

welcome pthapar! my experiences with CHCC were good, not perfect, but im extremely glad that our wedding was there... what room do you guys have for the reception?

to tell u the truth i wasnt happy with my BM, janet, u just have to stay strong with what you want, i felt like i had to fight for everything i wanted with her.... but in the end i did get what i want.... it did add to my stress levels but in the end it was fine..

BTW, try sampling with jewels of india, they have excellent food and are pretty close to CHCC, alot of guests raved about our food during the reception....

OK im gonna go back to minor packing, the flights tonight.. i'll be back online in a few days.. see u gurls later!!

Re: OFFICIAL Indian 'Desi' Wedding Thread

My friend just moved back from london. She spent about 3 years there. She loved it. Her husband who is from there actually convinced her to come back. Just think about all the wonderful places you can go just for weekend trips since your so close. Paris, Florence, Vienna, Prague, all just a short flight away. You'll have an amazing time there.

I hope it gets better. You guys give me some hope! :) I have the grand ballroom for the reception and then the cocktail hour outside. I just hope it turns out well. I'm now working on finalizing who is catering, photographer and dj. SO many options!

Have a great trip Mrs. G.

Speak to you soon.

Re: OFFICIAL Indian 'Desi' Wedding Thread

craznan, you party looked great! Love your pink outfit!!

Mrs. G, good luck! London is great, yes, you can travel to different part of europe in wkend!!

and about Jewel of India, their food are good, but my problem with them is that when I asked for a quote, they they gave me a price, but when we decide to book them, they gave us a different price so we end up with someone else.

Re: OFFICIAL Indian 'Desi' Wedding Thread

Hey Everyone,

How are you all? Do you guys have any referral for hair and makeup? Someone mentioned Sumati and Nina Doshi. Have any of you worked with them previously?
Are they very expensive?

How's the wedding planning going?

Re: OFFICIAL Indian 'Desi' Wedding Thread

i hear nina doshi's pretty expensive ( i think $950) but she stays with you the whole day. however, she is only there for the bride and will not do anyone else.

i think someone on here used sumati but not sure who.

Re: OFFICIAL Indian 'Desi' Wedding Thread

Hey Kirti

Welcome Back!! How are you liking London? It will definitely take some time to get use to it. Just think about how close Paris is when you get homesick!!!!

Haha

Did you like Susmita? Let know know what you thought of her and contact information.
