I love everything that my mom makes, especially her sauce. I can make a meal out of just sauce. And I love her ricotta pie she only makes it at Easter so I cannot wait to have it again.

Stay at the Rad.. The Hyatt's balconies are only walk-out opposed to the Radisson which has a full balcony

Not every place does the peas..

hahahaah! that is soooo true - almost every dish has peas in it - the chop meat, the riceballs, the lasagna (chop meat), the frittata, everything! and i never noticed it until i met FH and also my sister-in-law (who are from naples) and they talk abt it - so they laugh at us 'sicilians' with our peas in every dish - and i laugh at them with their piniolies in every dish!!

I like Gino's pizza but lately their pannelli haven't been that good - sometimes they taste like they're burned. u know where u could find the best ones? PALERMO lol when i was there a few years ago visiting my grandparents i ate so many pannelli heros it was crazy. and they pile them on there like 6 or 7 for one hero and the bread is sooo hot...omg i'm getting hungry just thinking about it lol

Re: **Official Italian Bride Thread**

you and your FH are gonna have an amazing time. Rome is gorgeous and from what I've heard so is Venice - I've visited a lot of Italy but haven't been to Venice yet, but from what I see on TV and in pics it's a magical place. Congrats

I have been to rome but it was a quick one day trip with the family when I was little and so it will be good to go back. My parents and I use to argue about why we couldn't go to Venice and their reasoning was because you should always go with someone you love. (Though I never really believed it, but I guess they won that argument. )

Re: **Official Italian Bride Thread**

so what's everybody's favorite italian meal? i can't pick just one so here it goes:
1. my mom's homemade arancini
2. my mom's homemade pizza
3. baked ziti
4. fish risotto ( i love ALL fish, even baccala` lol - i don't like to smell it before it's cooked **stinky** lol but i love to eat it )

My mom's homemade anything, but if I had to pick one it is her lasagna. The key is in the way she makes the sauce.

FH and I are going to Rome for our honeymoon too. I was only there once before, for one day/night. Just 2 years ago, as a matter of fact. Can't wait to go back with him. Are you doing Rome first or Venice?
