Re: **Official Italian Bride Thread**

I've been to Venice......and Rome Firenze, the Amalfi Coast.......I was about 9 years old we have pics of all these beautiful places. I remember Venice the most pictures dont do it any justice its more beautiful in person.
I was too little to realize these places hold something that no other city will ever hold.
The think I remember about Rome is we went in the middle of July and I think it was close to 110 thats what it felt like and when we went to the fountain of Trevi I wanted to take my shoes off and wanted to go in, I thought it was a big pool it was so hottttttttt,,,,,,,,,,,,
Thats what we want to do for our Honeymoon, maybe take out a cruise from Venice and maybe stay there a few days to really enjoy it.......that is a very romantic place

Re: **Official Italian Bride Thread**

Question for you Italian girls...do you think when we eventually all have babies they will speak Italian?

Do you think it's enough if just the grandparents speak to them in Italian? I am sure I will too but not as much as the grandparents....

What do you girls think?

What are you planning to do?

Re: **Official Italian Bride Thread**

Bella...do you think we have to speak to them in Italian all the time? I think with school and all it might be unrealistic

Whar are you going to try and do?

Re: **Official Italian Bride Thread**

i'm with ro on this one i don't think that the grandparents speaking it is enough - i have firends who only heard italian from their grandparents and they can understand some stuff but they can't really speak it.
FH and me are definitely gonna talk to our kids in italian and our dialect because I think that if you start when they're small they could catch on easier

Re: **Official Italian Bride Thread**

Do you think it's realistic? I have friends who speak Italian and they're parents were born there, but their children only understand Italian....

It's funny because I was an Italian teacher for a few years and I'm scared my kids won't hear enough Italian
