WE incorporated our culture throughout the entire day and evening.
ETA: Italian families are FUN and proud and they make the parties that much better....![]()

ETA: Sorry Bella11 I don't know what happened to the rest of your quote!! But I agree with you 100% as a first generation Italian. My household was also more Italian than Italian American. I love this thread!
I'm with u too girls. my entire family is more italian than italian-american and honestly I can only hope that one day I'll be able to give my kids the same sense of culture that my family gave me. and you're right ro italians definitely know how to party

it's probably just the lenox outlet. i'm looking for a place that wraps too! can't be responsible for wrapping 125 favors in this big italian family!

You can do 2 demi-tesse cups with the demi-tesse spoons for probably under 10.00
This is what Im doing. The favor store that im using also had the set w/6 cups, but it was $12.50 each.
Bklynitaliana.. If you dont mind coming to SI.. You should check out La Casa Della Bomboniera.. They used to be in Bklyn on 18th Ave..
My mom got lots of favors from casa della bomboniera when they were in Bklyn. they always have the lastest stuff imported from Italy. i actually had forgotten about them so thanks for posting

Big Italian Wedding Question: How many people are on everyone's guest lists? I am at 400, praying to God that we get down to 275.

NEW POST DON'T KNOW WHY IT'S IN ITALICS:
520 wow! Yes, I am praying that in November, everybody decides to take vacation - yeah right!!! I doubt 20% applies to November!
I'm assuming you have the Renaissance room, right? I am telling my parents to cut down b/c the Renaissance room only holds 300 haha. They don't buy it for a minute, b/c Fh's family has every party there and they know how many can fit. I just can't wait to greet 400 people!!![]()

Hey girls....Italian girl here too...I consider myself very Italian...I love the big Italian wedding and everything that goes along with it.
It's funny but I have been to several weddings in Italy and they are nothing like the 'italian' weddings here. They are nice, but more simple. The big 'Italian' bridal party that we have here doesn't even exist there.....

Re: **Official Italian Bride Thread**
My family in Italy is a bit calmer with weddings, but my friend's family does what we do here. I find it very interesting.ETA: I have never been to a wedding in Italy. My friend, who is from the Amalfi Coast, is used to huge weddings in Italy, but it might be just his family. FH's family is also from that area and I don't think they go crazy like we do.

Re: **Official Italian Bride Thread**
My family is from the south and they don't do things like here at all. The only thing I have ever seen that comes close to a bridal party is the 'compare d'anelli' who's kinda of like a best man. Most of the weddings I have been to have music but not like we do.Welcome New Vendors
