wow 312....thats still a lot......I'm getting palpitations just thinking about it.I dont think Strings are related to Voices, one of their member is just a cousin to them......
But I heard great things about them too, I bet your wedding was a smash........Cant wait for mine.

Hey girls....Italian girl here too...I consider myself very Italian...
I love the big Italian wedding and everything that goes along with it.
It's funny but I have been to several weddings in Italy and they are nothing like the 'italian' weddings here. They are nice, but more simple. The big 'Italian' bridal party that we have here doesn't even exist there.....![]()
I know what you mean. I went to my cousin's wedding in Palermo 3 years ago and it was nothing like the weddings we have here. no bridal party, no bands or DJs, alot less food etc. my family from italy have been to a few italian/american weddings here and they just can't believe how big and extravagent everything is lol

I can't pick what I like better...I like the weddings there and the ones here too. The ones here are so much fun, but there's somthing nice about how simple it is there.I have to go to a bridal shower in a couple of weeks and I was telling my cousin in Italy today about the whole process and she was shocked. She can't get over all the expenses!!!! hahahha

i have never been to a wedding in italy, but my parents just came back from my cousin's. The one thing i have noticed from all the pictures is how gorgous the wedding dresses are. When i was in rome 2 years ago, i saw two brides taking pictures in the piazzas and i was amazed at their dresses...

are any of you girls having family from italy come to the wedding? my nonno (whose 94 yrs old) might come if he still feels up to maing the flight along with ym aunt. and then i'm thinking of asking my second cousin from sicily to be a bridesmaid but i also worry it might be a little hard with the dress and fittings.

Re: **Official Italian Bride Thread**
My immediate family from Italy is invited (aunts/uncles first cousins & their kids). I will also invite some of the extended family. In total about 75 - 80 people including kids. BUT none of them are included yet in my 400 total !!!!!!

Re: **Official Italian Bride Thread**
Just a thought but I think it would be really cute if we had an Italian brides GTG sometime in the future. we could maybe go eat somewhere in Little Italy and go for dessert at Ferrara's - we'd make it an italian themed night
How many of you girls would be interested in something like that?

Hi Girls,Just saw this thread and I'm also 100% Italian.
We used Mirage Music and they were excellent. They are located in NJ and traveled to LI for our wedding.
Also, my family was big on the favor thing too..I gave out Waterford Crystal. I got them at a WF warehouse sale in NJ that my mil took me to. I actually think there is one coming up in a couple of weeks. When I find out the info., I will post it..
I also love this thread..
