Re: Official Land's End Thread

I'm going to go. I've never been to a showcase before and some of my vendors are going to be there, so I'd like to see them.

Re: Official Land's End Thread

I went to the Land's End food tasting on Sunday! Everything was AMAZING!! They changed some seasonings and sauces around, but nothing major has changed on the menu. When I find my scanner (I just moved) I was scan the menu of what I tasted, so you can see. Also, Keyth, from Lovin Oven Floral Designs displayed numerous CPs and other various types of floral arrangements. I don't think I need to tell you how beautiful they were (of course I did not bring a camera, because, why would I think of that), any questions, just let me know and I'll be happy to answer them. I'll post more as I think of them too!

Has anyone thought about the extras for cocktail hour yet? I'm going back and forth about adding on 'Jewels of the Sea'. Is anyone adding that on? If you did already, would you mind me being nosy and asking if you got a good deal, $16 pp is a little crazy...

I'm not adding it - it just comes out to too much extra $$$ and I would rather put that $$$ to different extras. It is tempting though because YUM! I can't wait for the showcase - it is a fun chance to see/taste some cakes and the chocolate fountain!

I decided against it as well. Too much food. I noticed after the food tasting how full I was and we didn't have a cocktail hour, so forget it! The only thing I am adding on is the extra half hour to my reception...but for $3.50 a person, it's really worth it.

yeah we're adding 1/2 hour to the CH - it is the same price.

Was anyone at the tasting Saturday? I took my sister (MOH) and my niece (FG) over to see Land's End and my FG felt very comfortable relaxing in the Bridal Suite. Check her out!

I'm going! Can't wait - the dessert table is the best! Most of my vendors are booked - but I might take a quick look at video and I love to see the different tables set up with different table settings, linen colors and CPs! Plus the chocolate fountain

If there is a chocolate fountain, I will be there!

FH can't go, so it would be great to see some of you there!

There was a chocolate fountain last year - with tons of strawberries, angel food cake, graham crackers, chocolate to dip in it! So good - FH and I pigged out!

I can't wait to go this is my first showcase! I have never been to one (even though all of my vendors are booked) - 2 of which are through Land's End so hopefully they will be there!

I still have my folder from last years - if you want me to post what vendors were there last year (it is at home). Ofs the top of my head I remember - Patken, Tommy Tunes, Janet King, Apple Entertainment (not recommended anymore I believe), James Cress, NYS Limo, In Full Bloom, Island Boys and WIld Rose Video. I am sure there are more I am forgetting - but these are the booths we stopped at. I am pretty sure Lovin Oven Florist will be there this year (they weren't in existence last year I don't think!)

yeah almost all of the recommended vendors were there last year - the whole reception room is full of vendors with displays. The Island boys were playing in the back room near the food. They give you a map of all the vendors when you get there. I am so excited Last year I went and I hadn't even booked Land's End yet, and this year all my other vendors are booked - if only they had 2 showcases a year!
