Re: Official Land's End Thread

I have a question. Where are you girls staying the night of the wedding? Are you staying at one of the recommended hotels or at another hotel?

Hilton Garden Inn in Ronkonkoma. It's nice there and only seconds from my house.

Definitely check out the Courtyard Marriott - we are either staying at our house or there in one of the suites (they have two sizes - one with a jacuzzi tub in the living room! and one with a mini-kitchen, living room, bedroom and jacuzzi tub in the bathroom - we would be booking the latter). So nice though!

Do you know the exact date and time of the showcase yet?

Jennifer just got back to me! The showcase date is finalized for February 19th - starting at 3:30PM. I can't wait

This is just a vendor showcase, correct? This isn't the tasting they talked baout when we booked, right? Does anyone know? Me and FH are going on the 19th. Looking forward to it.

It's just a vendor showcase, not a tasting, although they are serving some food.

You can celebrate your anniversary there!!!

In the summer they have Lobster Wednesdays - so maybe I will make FH take me for our 1 year anniversary!

So who went? I looked around but I didn't see anyone I recognized - we didn't get there till 5pm - we wanted to miss the crowd. How cool was the castle cake - I want it but it is $650 extra

I went. It was really nice and I got such a great quote from NY Style LImo. And the cakes were really good - and I'm not a cake person at all (loved the chocolate chip one with buttercream..yummmmy). I got so excited being there.

Re: Official Land's End Thread

Hi everyone,
I am getting married in May 2007 and just wanted to say hi! I am really excited to get married at Lands End, the place is beautiful and I have heard nothing but great things about it.

I was curious as to what centerpieces everyone was using. Since Land's End has such high ceiling I thought that the taller centerpieces look great there, but I also haven't seen how the regular sized centerpieces look so I was wondering what everyone else was doing.

Thanks!!

I'm doing 1/2 high and 1/2 low - I love the look of both

Re: Official Land's End Thread

I'm doing low CP's. I'm not a big fan of high ones although some do look really nice. My wedding is also during the day so I thought the high CP's would look a little too formal. My CP's are going to be 2 dozen roses in fall colors with berries in a square vase with petals scattered around them.
