Re: Official Milleridge Thread!

Hi girls!!! I'm a Milleridge Cottage bride -- Sept. 2, 2007!!!!

I am working with Leslie - she has been wonderful!

We just booked this past weekend!!!

I have a quick question about flowers - this past weekend I noticed that the ceilings were a little low...does that rule out high CPs? What are you girls doing for your CPs? Can you post pics/FM pics?

I'm soo excited!!!

Re: Official Milleridge Thread!

hi and congrats!!!! I personallt like low CPs so that is what I will likely go with but I didn't think the ceilings were so low that you coudln't do high CPs.... maybe do alternating tables of low and high....

Ooohhh piano player for CH...that sounds nice! Is there an extra charge? Anyone know what that is?

Re: Official Milleridge Thread!

Milleridge can arrange for a piano player for your CH. I beleive it is 175 for the hour. They have a few ppl they use and I was told to let my BM know about a month before the wedding and they will set it all up.... This is what we are doing...

Re: Official Milleridge Thread!

The weather will probably be nice in Sept and Oct so hopefully the CH will be outside...where would you put the piano player? At the piano by the inside bar or do they move the piano to the CH room/outside? Thanks for the info!

Re: Official Milleridge Thread!

I woudl imagine that teh piano player would remain in the foyer whetehr you had an outdoor CH or not. Also, even if eth CH is outside the food will be inside so I think guests will cetrianly hear teh music...

You prob want to ask your BM about this though! HTH!

Re: Official Milleridge Thread!

I just spoke to the BM about the CH piano player so I wanted to share the news...
The charge is $150 +tax. We can move the piano to a different location (in the CH room, for exampl) if we wanted because if the guests are outside for CH they won't hear the piano player at all. The BMs will work with you to choose the appropriate location for the piano.

they charge tax on the piano player? my dj said tax cannot be charged on something where only a service is provided. i believe him, but i could be wrong.

I think they can charge tax.

When everyone is announced...where do they come from? Does everyone come down the stairs? I come from a clumsy family and am worried enough about ME falling down the stairs so I am hoping the parents and BP enter from somewhere else? Maybe?

Re: Official Milleridge Thread!

i think they said you just wait by where the bathrooms are - you don't have to come down the stairs if you don't want to.

also - for anyone who has already gotten married at the milleridge -

did they give you any left over food after the reception? i know some places that do that. By leftover i mean some food from cocktail hr , and maybe some no show dishes.?

I had around 10 no-shows, so I figured I'd have lots to bring home. They didn't give me a single leftover -- not even extra cake besides the top layer.
