Me too, it looks so pretty! Is the table the CP is on round or oval? It looks round to me but I thought the tables were the same as the Cottage? I'd LOVE it if round tables were available.

You can have round or oval depending on how many guests you have. I'll probably have two ovals for the bridal party and their guests, and then the rest round. I think the round looks prettier, but you can fit more at at oval table.

Ooooh, I'm so excited, I have to ask! How many people does the round table fit? I just feel like people at oval tables are sooooooo far away from one another.

I'll email my BM and find out. I think the round looks much better. Hey, you are marrying a 'Brett' with 2 T's also!

I didnt know that you could have round tables, I have only seen the oval ones set up. I like the round much better too. Thanks!

The round ones seat 10, the oval 12. For the carriage house you have the option of either or both. I think the round ones look better in that space because it is smaller.

I think they usually use oval in the Cottage, but you may be able to have round, I don't know.

The centerpieces were designed for the round tables, but he said he'd change them a little if we had any oval tables.

OK-now I have a quesiton for all you ladies.

Do you call & make an appointment with the bakery to pick out the cake.

Or do you just do that through the banquet office?

Wow- I hadn't even thought of that.
I guess if you are inthe bridal suite, it makes sense to come up the stairs.

I'm not sure if we are being announce & making a grand entrance. I think we may just go to the coctail hour & just walk in with everybody else.

Or maybe we would walk in last? So then I guess we'd be coming in from outside.

Re: Official Milleridge Thread!

If it is nice out, we'll be outside for the cocktail hour, then we can either go back outside or downstairs to be announced. We probably won't spend much time in the bridal suite since it is so small anyway. My friend was announced from outside...

About the tables. Here is the response I got:

The tables are designed to hold up to 10 people.

Remember if you go over 110 guests than some of your tables will need to be ovals. These are designed to hold 12 people.
About one month prior to your affair I will give you your place cards & floor plan.

That's what she told me. I'm not sure if it is different for the Cottage.

i just picked my cake when i sat down with nadine to pickthe menu. i didn't want anythign fancy, no flowers or special designs, so it was pretty easy. nadine had a book of pics, so we picked one from there. if you want something a little different, you should stop by and talk to the baker.

Bad News Cottage Girls

Here is what she told me:
Please let your friend who is getting married at the cottage know that we don't work with round tables in The Cottage at all. We only work with ovals.
If she has any further questions please let her know she can call the office at any time.

Ahh, ok, that's why none of the Cottage girls knew about the round tables. I think they'd look too small in that room anyway.

My sister actually calls him 'Double T' because she always spelled it with one when we first started dating and I always corrected her. That's funny.

My mom with her Greek accent called him Brat for a while.
