I love the Yankees, but their performance didn't scream '2004 world series champs' to me.

While I am a Yankees Fan,,....sorry but I think Boston deserved it. the yanks just looked pittiful. I wish it ended sooner.

I agree. The only way Boston deserved it was that they outplayed the Yankees. I don't care for the 'Oh they haven't won is so long they deserve it' attitude. That's just not how sports goes. In this case the best team won. It just sucks for the Yankee fans that the Yankees weren't the best team this year.

They fought the whole way. No matter what happens in this next series, they should be happy. They broke a record.

That's exactly what Anthony said this morning. He has been extremely nice to me about it, much to my surprise. Said its because he can totally relate as a Mets fan .

Even told me to start getting used to the phrase 'wait until next year'

Re: ok i gotta say it..no offense felicia..but those yanks..

I'm sad the Yankees lost! They definitely were not cocky this year - they were the underdogs going in and knew it! And, the Sox haven't won yet...next year we may still be chanting 1918...

As sad as I am that the Yankee's lost - I really thought the Sox made an outstanding come back and fully deserved to win.

Re: ok i gotta say it..no offense felicia..but those yanks..

The Yankees were very cocky as usual. Please they thought they were winning the world series when they got the almigthy I think i'm God A. Rod.

They yankees were doomed from the start because of their pitching. Even getting El Dooko back didn't save them.

Start getting used to the phrase 'there's always next year'

Re: ok i gotta say it..no offense felicia..but those yanks..

At first I thought the Yanks had the curse of the G-Man. Ever since they signed Giambi... and made him shave off that rugged goatee he had.... they haven't won anything.

But now I think they have the A-Rod virus. That man (along with Sheffield) are both known to just destroy a team's chemistry. Want proof? A-Rod leaves Seattle. What happens? They have a 112 win (or something like that) season. He goes to Texas... then Texas absolutely sucks. He leaves Texas and they get significantly better. Now he comes to the Yanks... and the Yanks pull off the biggest choke in the history of sports.

Not a good thing. But I am sure the Boss will go out and spend 250mil next year by adding two or three pitchers.

Re: ok i gotta say it..no offense felicia..but those yanks..

I never liked the Yankees getting A-Rod. I think he's too concerned about himself. He's a very talented player and I love to watch him play. But I'm not so sure he's a good person in the clubhouse.

Sheffield I was surprised with. I thought he was going to be more of an a**hole.

I don't like Lofton and I never understood why they got him. I would like to see them trade him.

I'm sure The Boss is going to spend a lot of money in the offseason. They need starting pitchers and relief pitching. But I also think they are going to make some major trades.
