Re: Paging all Latin Brides

so you are looking for a DJ
all the way Elegancia Entertainment.
It was recommended to me by a past bride (jimmysbride) i went to see them first and we decided to book them on the spot. So they were the only DJ we went to see. They are located in Floral Park.

Re: Paging all Latin Brides

Hi I'm Qiana and I'm Half Puerto Rican and half Italian. My FI is 100% Italian.

I will definitely have the Latin music pumping at the wedding( merengue, salsa, Latin pop). My DJ Bravura promised to keep the dance floor packed.

Re: Paging all Latin Brides

Hi ladies....its great to see that there are so many latin ladies here, I'm new to the site and I haven't read all of the posts but I can't wait...you girls must understand how difficult it is to plan a wedding on a budget when your list is 190 people and more than half is just MY family. My parents are dominican (so u know I have 12 aunts and 3 uncles and a whole lot of cousins with kids!). My FH is puerto rican but his family is not as big as mine. Any ideas on how I can do this would be appreciated!

Hello Ladies! I'm Cindy and I'm 100% Ecuadorian. My fiance is Italian/ PR.
My mom wants me to have Padrinos but I already have a MOH and BM, does anyone know what I can have them do at Church to make them feel special?

Does anyone know of another song besides nina bonita for the father/daughter dance?

I love this thread!

My mom told me this past weekend that Padrinos also buy your wedding bands. She asked who the Padrinos were going to be- I never knew that you had to have them.... and since I'm 3 months from the wedding- I'm scratching that idea.

I have an idea! Post Latino wedding rituals that you've heard of or know of.... I'm sure your mamás have lots of them! I'll ask my mamí for some and then report!

Re: Paging all Latin Brides

I am looking for a song to dance with my dad. we have had a strange relationship over the years, so I think the best song would be a salsa (he's also a salsa dance instructor so it would be fun)

anyone have any father/daughter friendly salsa ideas?

Re: Paging all Latin Brides

HELLO- Can I post???
My FH is Ecuadorian and I am Italian...

We are thinking of doing a bilingual mass- not the entire thing but some parts...

FH is thinking of a song to dance with his mother to- that is easy enough for the band to play...

Any other traditions we can incorporate

FH's mother may have flowers imported from Ecuador- she knows someone who can put them all together- I am nervous about this... we have a friends wedding in july who will be doing this so i will see how hers come first!

Re: Paging all Latin Brides

Why did it take me this long to find this thread?
Hello chicas! I'm Puerto Rican (born and raised, came to NY when I was 10) and my DH was born in Brooklyn, his parents are Dominican and came to NY over 30 years ago. The poor guy spoke no Spanish when I met him, so I had to teach him! I hope that if we are blessed with kids, I can teach them español en la casa.

I think I found this too late since I'm married already, but if there's anything I can help with - feel free to ask!

Hey Jessica!
My dad and I did 'De Niña A Mujer' by Julio Iglesias. It was nice and not too mushy. There really aren't that many out there...the other one I was considering was 'Mi Niña Bonita' by Lucho Barrios, but it seems that it gets played a lot.
Gloria Estefan has a really nice song that's appropriate. I'll see if I can remember.

LOL- thanks. I like that song, but 1) I am mad at Marc for marrying J.LO (sorry if anyone is a fan) and 2) it's a little too mushy for me and my day...we don't have a relationship quite like that- then again, my dad doesn't speak spanish ( ) so the salsa version may work well if he doesn't realize HOW mushy he's being!!!!

My dad and I don't have a great relationship either (parents are divorced, mom raised me) so I thought my choice was perfect! I wanted to d 'Daughters' by John Mayer but my fi shot it down, he said it was too 'rough' and my dad shouldn't be offended the day of.

DE NIÑA A MUJER
- Julio Iglesias - C. Enterria - Tony Renis - Ramón Arcusa -
