I was talking to a friend and now I am curious to know if anyone is paying for their own wedding gown or are your parents, FH, etc.. paying for it?? My friend had heard it was bad luck to pay for it yourself.. is this true??

My grandma is paying for mine because I'm the oldest grand-daughter and my grandpa left money when he died specifically for that - so its also like a special present.
My aunt is insisting on paying for it so hey...that works for me!!

I am paying for the dress all by myself....my parents are pretty much paying for the whole wedding and Fh parents are paying for some stuff too...
the least i can do it pay for my own dress!!!!!

My parents are paying for it. My mom wouldn't even let me buy my shoes, she wants to buy everything I have to wear from head to toe.
Me too... my mom has been so cute about it! Shw won't even let me buy the slip or the bra!!! My parents feel bad they can't pay for the wedding, so they really really wanted to buy my dress and accessories.

My friend put the deposit and my mom & FMIL put money towards it but I'm paying for most of it.
