So for financial reasons as well as the fact that my MOH has cancer, FH and i are most likely postponing our wedding by a year. I am devastated by this and feel like it shouldnt be this big of a deal. But its really bothering me. Have any of you had to do this?
I am so sorry you're going through this and your MOH is in my prayers! I agree with what everyone is saying...I know right now it ***** but I can imagine how much more stressful things would be if you stuck with your original date and planned under these circumstances. A year will fly by! Everything will work out!! You're still going to have a beautiful wedding that you always wanted!!
Yes we postponed our 1/5/08 wedding to 1/3/09. DH mom had cancer and my dad was having a major operations and neither of them would be able to attend. We were sad to move the wedding but we would never have a wedding without them. Plus it gave us 1 more year to save, and we were so happy to be able to have that extra time and money. It all worked out, we still go married had a beautiful day. We actually booked a cruise for 1/5/08 just to sort of celebrate our almost wedding date. Btw non of vendors gave us a hard time, no one made us pay more or anything. They were all wonderful.
