3) I regret going to Webster Hall Aug.7th 2004. Had I not gone, I would have never hooked up w. FH. I love him and everything, and I am happy to be w. him....BUT it has been a lot of work staying together. Our families dont really get along and my parents dont care about him. If I hadn't gone, I would be w. someone else who prob. would have made my life easier.
I hope you didn't mean this the way it sounds.
The best things in life are NEVER easy.
I'm going to assume this didn't come out the right way...because if you DO mean it the way it sounds, you should seriously reevalute getting married. Sorry if that sounds preachy...but my fear for you is that if you think it's hard NOW, think about how it will be after you buy a house, or add children into the mix, etc. etc..
We had a fight last night about him going w. me to a few family parties (weddings and Christening) and basically he told me he didnt want to go b.c he didnt know them. We agreed to compromise and we are ok now. But I swear to God, I have NEVER met ANYONE that pisses me off more than him, and at the same time LOVE more than anything in this world. lol. Its funny b.c when we used to have big fights, we were never able to really break up. So basically whenever he used to tell me, 'so do u want out? Do u want to break up?' I would always tell him, 'I love you and you are going to marry me one day...but sometimes I wish I never met you.' ...then we would both laugh hysterically and make up. So I guess when I wrote my top 10 regrets, I was still a little pissy at him. But I love him anyway. Thanks for your concern though!

Not following my passion of being a photographer. I never thought it was much of a career.
Its not too late for me though...I plan on pursuing it as a career in the near future!

mine would be not going away to school. I loved St. Joes, but always secretly wished I went away. I was accepted to Cortland, but turned it down b/c my ex didn't want me to go... oh the things we do when we are young and stupid!
I went to St. Joe's too! And I was accepted to Cortland....weeeeirrd.
My biggest regret is allowing certain friendships to be ruined over pettiness.
what was your major?
English. Yours?
LOL, English/Secondary Ed (although you'd never know from the way I type on here)
I was there from 2001 - 2004. I walked in May 2005 since I finished in December of 2004

I regret the amt of debt I had on CC's after graduating college...but I don't regret the experience b/c it taught me the importance of managing my money, and savings, and how to properly invest
Expensive leason but worth it in the end!

Re: Q of the D: Part II
I agree with many of the girls who said that they do not like having regrets or do not have any because everything that happened made them who they are today. But.....if I were to be honest and look back at my life while I am now fine with the decisions I made there are a few that I would change.
I would have gone to law school and not changed my major b/c my boyfriend at the time was insistent that we shouldn't wait so long to get married (by the way not current FH).
I would have dropped the previously mentioned boyfriend the 1st time I found out he cheated rather than wait for him to leave me.

ha! i went to SJU also and i made ONE friend, yes ONE i went there with a few people i knew previously so i dont count them but it was so funny when i was doing my guest list i only had my one friend on there and even her, we only talk online!!! it was my fault though, i went to school and came home i didnt really make an effort since i had my old friends and DH
how long ago did you go to St. Johns?
I graduated in January of 2005, but I walked in May.
oh ok my Fh graduated 2002 i think or was it 2001 lol why cant i remember right now hahaha
It's ok! I was there in the fall of 2001 (Freshman year). I lived on campus, but I was never there. I hated my room mates so much! I was in a triple and I was 'sexiled' from the room almost every night by one of them. So, I hopped a train and spent the night with friends at NYU and Pace. It worked out well since none of my classes started until after 11AM.
well his first year of college he did go away for school he went to quinnipiac, then after went to st. johns but he lived not too far so just commuted there. Well must've been fun to also go to other schools and hang out so thats not bad.
It was great Freshman year, but I just wish that I had gone away to be with my friends from High School. We are all still close (3 of them are in my bridal party), but I would of loved to been with them at college. I was always so lonely while at St. John's because I had no one to talk to. I think a lot of my boyfriend choices were based on being lonely and bored.
yeah that is the cause many times unfortunately, back to my original regret of not being in a relationship at a younge age
I went to ST JOHNS TOO! now they call it STJ which is weird!!!
When did you graduate? What was your major?

Mine is that I am a doormat. I let people walk all over me and dont say anything back - even if they really hurt me badly. I never stand up for myself and dont have the confidence to do the things I really want to inlife, esp since I have the talent to do them.
My middle and highschool years are a sore sore memory, bc I was afraid of being myself. everyone hated me - and I never stood upformyself. It was really hard living with a heroin addicted brother who stole from you everyday and bounced from rehab to rehab - never knowing if he would live from one day to the next. i cried and cried - my parents marriage was in shambles bc of it and i was in the middle. And everyone at school thought i cried bc i wanted attention. I never once stood up and said hey - you dont knjow what I go home to - or shut up. I had no idea what to do with myself, and bc of that i was never me. I was never the person who is so beautiful and talented - just tormented dealing with addiction of a family member at home. Very few ppl wanted to know the new me - but those few ppl are my dear friends to this day.
I am a great person and no one knew it. That is my biggest regret.

i regret never telling my best freind that i loved her. the night i was goign to tell her was teh last night i saw her, the next afternoon she killed herself
that is something i will live with and i hate it.
i also regret as denise said being in long realtionships at a young age.... i was not faithful, and i stayed with ppl and pretty much walked all over them. it was not fair for them, and it was not fair for me... i should have just let go and had fun... BUT doing that.. i learned LATER that i need to learn how to be alone and let go... so with that regret came a lesson learned.

I regret not taking school more seriously when I first got out of high school. The first year of college was great and then my mom passed away and everything went downhill...I stopped going because I couldn't be there! Now I'm finishing up cause I know that's what she would have wanted. It just took me a while to get back on track!
