Their was a woman on my bowling league who used to wear leggins and 2 pairs of scrunchy socks. Every week I would say to my mom 'ma, doesnt she know the 1980's ended years ago'

Isn't it wild that as much as we laugh at these things! You never know 5 years from now you might see Stir-ups & an oversized sweatshirt on a model w. a permed out hair do!!!

I remember being in elementary school and the girl that lived across the street from me was in HS and I would be in amazement at how high she could get her hair.
FI would also show me pics of himself and friends of his from when they were in HS, what were they thinking??? I really hope fashion of the 80's does not come back

Yea! It's back! Has anyone been watching the 'I love the 80's' on VH1???? My DH and I are hooked!Bras on cars- LOL! I always wanted my parents to get one! I thought they were so cool!

I was at walmart today and spotted a lady wearinng a oversized sweater and stirrups! Do they still sell stirrups? I thought they were an endangered species!

What I remember most about my 80s years is....Getting up at 5:30 a.m. just to have enough time to do my hair (wash, dry, curling iron, SPRAY...every single day).
BLACK eyeliner and iridescent lip gloss.
Feathers!! Feathers in hair clips, on roach clips, on belts!
Cowboy boots!
Jeans SO tight you had to lay down and zip them up with a pair of pliers!
Pumps with anklet socks.
T-top cars were coooooool!
Key chains that were made out of colored mirror, sometimes with names engraved in 'em.
Getting the darkest tan you could (Tropical Blend!) without ever THINKING about cancer or wrinkles.
BOOM boxes!
Torn jeans, safety pins in clothes, ONE GLOVE!
Jean jackets FULL of pins.
The MADONNA craze, lots of big bows, lace, cut off sweat shirts.
Desperately Seeking Susan
The Breakfast Club.
The Z-Morning Zoo on Z-100.
An armful of bracelets, some metal, some black rubber.
SHOULDER PADS!
M-TV played videos 24/7....no other shows!
Cable TV meant NO commercials.
Slam Books.
The song 'White Lines.'
Bon Jovi!!!
Fringes!!
Hi-Top sneakers.
Little Jordache 'leather' pocketbook pouch things.
Sergio Valente! Gloria Vanderbilt! Jordache jeans!!!
People stopped buying vinyl albums and started buying CASSETTE TAPES.
The dawn of the VCR, and the local video rental stores where you had to buy a 'lifetime membership' Wonder how many are still around???
Wine coolers!!!

Do you remember (hard to explain, but I'll try) there were these plastic shapes (usually circles) and you'd pull one corner of your t-shirt through it so it bunched up on one side?? I found one while cleaning my room

MY WORST 80's FASHION MISTAKE I THINK WAS WEARING IRRIDESANT LIP GLOSS WITH THE DARKEST LIPLINER I COULD FIND!!what the HELL was i thinking.. i looked like bozo the clown!! OH GOD i hate it when my mother is right!!
