Ours requests $2500 at time of contract signing then sets up pymt schedule going forward.

FH and I prefer to keep paying so that we can be ' hopefully' paid up before wedding.

FH best man (who is his cousin) and wife were fully paid up with wedding and honeymoon month before...Lucky them!

we put down 1000, then 500 is due september, then another 500 in january and then the rest 2 weeks before the wedding, but my dad is giving them a bigger chunk then that so it gets paid off quicker

We put down 10,000, but before you think we're crazy, its because we were only allowed to use the credit card for the FIRST payment.

We got a 1 year 0% interest fee credit card, put the 10,000 on it. The rest of the balance will have to be paid in cash.

I put $1000 down the day we signed the contract, then $2000 two months later, and another $2000 two months later, then the balance due the night of the wedding.

Our RH deposit was 3,400 dollars.

Ours was 1000 and then there are periodic payments of 2 and 3000 until about 8 months before. Then, the rest is due a week before (actually, four days). But we are going to pay during those eight months too.

Our deposit was 1K another 1K is due 08/01 and then not another payment until 7/01/09.... Yay for a long engagement :)

Yes, I agree. Feel a little better about the money because we have some breathing room. But I'm sure the time will fly and payment upon payment will be due before we know it.

$1000 down at signing and then $1000 every other month until we reached $5000. Balance will be due two weeks before the wedding
