RH HELP PLEASSEE... with pictures (UPDATE ON PAGE 2)

Okay ladies I need a little help... well a lot of help && its a longgg readd so I will apologize in advance...

I am in love with a few different aspects of different halls & I am looking for one hall which has all of them in one---- please see the following pictures and explanations...

I am in love with Oheka's center hall staircase

but I can deal with the Glen Cove Mansion staircase as well...

The reason I will not have my reception at Oheka is due to the 1-crazy 20k site fee and another 300+ per head for a Saturday night May/June wedding--If I cut down my guests to 175 I will still be looking at a $72,500 RH price--- and thats crazy....I also have heard some unpleasant things about them as well ----- either way the grounds are stunning & I am in love with the staircases--- soooo I am in search for similar staircases-- we are willing to spend around $200 per person... the Glen Cove Mansion is pretty but it reminds me a little much of a hugee house, their staircase is nice as well & I would have to say from what Ive seen it is somewhat comparable to Oheka's... I however do NOT like the flooring of their main room because it is not marble/granite, but plain hardwood.... that brings me to moree pictures...........

I love the Venetian Yacht Club's view & flooring...

I also love the marble flooring in Leonards...

sorry for the long post... but I am really beginning to get frustrated... I have noo idea where I want to have the wedding.. yes I have some time but I still want to have somewhat of an idea... My issues are as follows... I need some type of a similar staircase to the ones I posted above... I need gorgeous floors/ reception setting... we just began talking about a city wedding as well... but I really want nice grounds or room in front of the hall to take pictures... nothing Hotel oriented or look-alike unless it is in the city.. I think thats about it---(im sure its enough) I just dont know who to turn to but you guys for help--- if anyone can suggest anywhere that has one or more of what Im looking for I will be more than thankful... thank soo much ladies & again sorry for the long post---

Have you checked out the North Ritz Club? They don't have an oceanview, but they have lots of marble/granite (not sure which?) flooring, including a large marble/granite dance floor.

There is also a large staircase in the main lobby that is beautiful, although it's a single curving staircase not a double.

NRC has beautiful grounds... a lake, a fountain, lots of flowers and grass, a gazebo, and also area for part of an outdoor cocktail hour (it's indoor/outdoor) with seating in both places. The cocktail room has big windows overlooking the outside grounds. It doesn't really have the 'big house' look -- I know what you mean.

I also like marble/granite (if only I knew which it was ) and the outside also has a large granite bar that is beautiful. The ballroom has the same chairs as VYC (I am anal about chairs and hate the look of slipcovers so that was a dealmaker/breaker for me LOL)

They are also one wedding at a time with great food and service. I haven't had my wedding yet, but I've only heard great things and they have been beyond incredible to work with so far.

I'll dig up some pictures if you're not set on an ocean view.

hmmm thanks soo much for the recommendation it is prettyy, I think after seeing Ohekas outside view, Leonards outside view and other halls which have like the over done type of look and I just fell in love with it... I dont necessarily need a water view but I just want to say woww when I get to the hall even before I step inside... this search is soo hard because I am just being too picky at this point but I just dont want to settle for something which im not truly happy with... I hope I can figure something out soon...its starting not to be as much fun as it should be .... any other recommendations ladies will be appreciated... thanks again ladies for taking the time to read --

&& tia for any help

NRC definitely has lots and lots of granite. (lobby floors, CH floors, dance floor, bathroom floors, counters and stalls, etc lol) I pulled up some old pictures from when we first saw the place (about 50 with every single detail) and I can email you some if you want to get an idea -- not sure if you have already looked at NRC. FM me if you want to see them

Good luck with your search.

VYC is nice but the lobby and front arent anything spectacular (i dont mean this in a bad way, my RH doesnt have a spectacular lobby, no fancy stair cases, the parking lot is right in front like VYC, not much land/landscaping, i didnt mind that when i booked my RH but to some people that stuff really matters if they are looking for a RH with really nice grounds and a grand lobby entrance) - i think the nicest thing about VYC is the back patio area where you can have a ceremony or indoor/outdoor CH - def a realyl really nice place for a summer wedding

I will have pictures to show you in 8 weeks!!!

If you do a search for 'Royalton' on 'brides review', there are a few brides who have pics of their weddings posted.

Re: RH HELP PLEASSEE... with pictures

what about De Seversky?

or maybe one of the lessings facilities?

I edited to add that I think you're going to have to pick something you truly want more than any of the things on your wish list and make that your made focus when looking for a hall because it might be hard to find all the things you're looking for in a hall other than Oheka...it seems like you're comparing all the places to Oheka and if that's the case then you're never going to be happy with any of the places we suggest to you...no place is going to have a staircase like Oheka...and marble floors are extremely slippery...so maybe you should focus on finding a place with great views..good food...and beautiful places to take pictures..

either way the perfect place is out there for you...and please try not to knock our suggestions based on some of these places websites...this is definitely one of those times where you have to go to the places and see them in order to make your decision

I'm definitely not trying to be mean...we all want you to find the perfect place and be happy...good luck!

Re: RH HELP PLEASSEE... with pictures

so heres my advice...I felt like you at one point when I first started looking and I became obsessed and overwhelmed...dragged my FH to almost every RH on long island! im very particular about certain things bc i worked in a RH at one time... table linnens, carpet, chairs..etc I looked at how they set the tables an other details that made me sound insane bc no one else would have made a point about it. anyways I have learned that you need to decide what is really important to you and what is something you can live without! because honestly you will go crazy trying to find EVERYTHING that you are looking for? Do you reallly need a staircase just like that? or are you looking for someting that has a wow entrance? bc if your looking for a particular staircase its goign to be difficult to find rather then just that WOW factor! also take alot of thought into service! bc as far as guests are cncerned thats what they will remember, not the staircase and as far as the VYC ( which was in our top 3 choices) we loved the view! but once every startspartying how many people are going to stil be looking at it? anyways I think you should really go to places and get the feeling of the whole hall and decide exactly what type of wedding you want and once you walk into a place and go wow I HAVE to get married here then you knwo its the one!
PS i rec. my hall the Inn at new hyde park.. doesnt have the view or the stair case but its beautiful
