That stinks!

My father had type 2 diabetes also. It takes care and management - but it will all be just fine!

I have Type 2 Diabetes, I check my Blood Sugar 2 times a day before I eat. Once in the morning and once more right before Dinner. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. It can be controlled with diet or he will have to take meds. If you need to talk FM me anytime. Everything will be alright....


I have been living with Type for 5 years now and I no longer have to take meds.

I'm so sorry to hear that. My Dad was just diagnosed with it last week too. It's a rough adjustment. Do they know ho bad it is yet? The doctors are saying my father's case isn't too bad. He should be able to control it with diet and very little meds.

FH went to the Dr. yesterday for a routine check up...and the Dr. found some sugar in his urine so he ran a blood test. Turns out FH has type 2 diabetes... Hes actually ok with it...but Im sad..just need some hugs...does anyone have any info on type 2 diabetes??

I don't know anything about diabetes, but from what some of the girls have said, it seems like he'll be OK, which is tha main thing Just make sure he reads up on all the information that he can so he can educate himself.....and same with you. The more information YOU know, the easier it will be for both of you

I'm sorry your Fh is going through this......but it's a good thing it was caught so he is able to adjust his lifestyle to make it better!

My grandfather, grandmother and aunt all have it, and they just have to watch what they eat

it will be ok, and dont worry , you guys will get through it. my mother has type 1, and she had to use insulin everytime. She actual tries to watch what she eats and make sure she takes her medicine.

He'll be just fine... but I know it must really stink to get this news...
