who's planning on having sex on their wedding night? and i added a choice for those who are already married. i was reading online a lot of couples just go to sleep because theyre too exhausted and it takes an hour to get those bobby pins out and yadda yadda. i personally will force myself to do it no matter how tired i am lol

FH and I both agree that we may be very exhausted after a long day, so we will just see how things play out. We'd like to do it that night but if we're too tired, then we're too tired.
Call me crazy but I think forcing your partner to have sex with you on your wedding night just because it's your wedding night would put more of a strain on the marriage than not having sex at all.
ITA we would LOVE too but if we don't we will just make up for it then next 70 years!!!!

I am going to have sex on my wedding day utterly exhausted or not. I want every aspect of the day to be enjoyable. I'm not saying it would be horrible if you don't i'm just saying he listened to you while you bombarded him with limos, florists, djs etc. The least you could do is stay up for an extra hour or two and do some work.

This thread is so unintentionally hilarious!
As for us, I'd like it to happen, but I'm realistic. FH and I live together currently and sometimes we will both be like, 'yeah, can't wait to get home, let's do it' and by the time our heads hit the pillow we fall asleep. That's life! I'm hoping to be awake enough - generally nerves and adrenaline keep me up super late anyway so I should be OK - but if not, I don't think FH will be bringing me to divorce court the following week.

i find this funny because my fh is planning this wedding with me and loving it.
so the least HE can do is stay up for extra hours and do some work.

I never knew that the 'sex on your wedding' night question, that has appeared for years on this site, could ever create drama.
Well done ladies! Well done!

You make it sound like the consummation of your marriage should be done in a disgruntled fashion as if its your 'duty' to do something for him that night.
I hope you don't look at it like this -- cause I would think the moment that you first make love as husband and wife should be done when you BOTH want to and isn't just a 'deed' that needs to be checked off the list.
For myself personally, no we did not do the deed that night of our wedding, we were beyond exhausted....it was a long day for us. We both laughed about it cause we were hoping the other one was too tired and when we both admitted it, we definitely cracked up and said 'Oh thank god! Good nite!' and went to sleep.
Now the next morning.......bom chicka wah waaaaahhhhhh

Re: sextion poll
hey allsmiles.....
no drama----i'm 100% serious in my question, cause i'm curious. i'm sure you didn't mean to get everyone riled up with your statement -- so i'm just asking:
what exactly did you mean when you said that NOT having sex on your wedding night is a 'recipe for disaster'?
i'm very curious to know, maybe if it was explained differently/better, people would understand your side?
cause the statement just has an implication like 'your marriage is doomed if you don't have sex on your wedding night' and i'm assuming you did not mean it in this way.
