Why do we do this, I think this is silly everyone gets upset but then posts that they are not. ciminok you are one popular person you have been quoted multiple times . I agree with you forget it you fighting a losing battle.

I don't think EVERYONE is upset (I hardly think ANYONE is actually upset) and I don't think that anyone is fighting a battle. Not one person tried to persuade anyone else to change their mind. They simply asked for clarification on a viewpoint.

Where is the drama coming from? If people are uncomfortable with posting on this thread, don't. If you're going to post your opinion, you're opening yourself up for conversation. If you allow your emotions to rule your responses, then you should leave the thread. No one is attacking - no one is bashing. Things are being discussed - even though not everyone agrees.
But if you're going to be a kettle caller, you're most likely to be called on it.

like I said earlier the poll was simple yes no or undecided why can't know be enough I don't think everyone is upset but there is definitely a underlying tone ........

I know...I was pulling it from her quoting Jenn P's post. In one breath she was stirring the pot (ie: 'THE Lesbian') and in the next breath was complaining that people were bashing and attacking her.

I backed it up it is my personal belief........and from what I see ciminok has explained her point as well... I dont feel the need to always defend my feeling but if you truly want to know it is based on my religous beliefs.

No absolutely CAN be enough and is. However, if someone stated their reason for saying yes or no, they put it out there to be scrutinized (and I don't mean that in a negative way) by all. And discussed. After all, what's a message board without messages?

Lordie LORD! My writing: 'THE' Lesbian was a joke... A JOKE...A JOKE...A JOKE... I'm only as hypocritical as anyone else, by the way. I honestly didn't feel bashed or balled out...I just figured I'd throw my two cents in when I read that post that said: 'You took the words out of my mouth' But even if you were ganging up on me, which now I know it wasn't intended to be that, then so what! I don't care. And really I don't care about gays marrying gays either... I'm so glad this got me through my day though. What's up for tomorrow's controversy???
ETA: I wasn't the one who posted 'THE' Lesbian anyway. I just copied that from someones post...It didn't make sense to refer to someone like that. What's next? THE cripple?

I have to go home, but Peewee...I don't think anyone asked you to defend your position. You made it clear, several times, that the reasons for your opinion were both personal and religious, and I think that every single person respected that and never asked you to justify or defend that any further.
