Sooooo Pissed !!!!

I get a letter in the mail from my church where I'm getting married. Its a letter about the rules of the church ...and it states that after the ceremony we cannot kiss and that it is FORBIDDEN !!! WFT!! What century are we in!!! My FH was sayin we will just shake hands lol...Then it states that guests cannot clap or cheer!!! LOL...How can I control that???

wow I would definitely talk to your officiant about that...sometimes the rules are outdated and it's up to the officiant how he wants to conduct your ceremony.

Are they kidding??? You can't KISS your new HUSBAND?? lol That has got to be the most bizarre thing I've ever heard! I'm sure they have a good reason for it though..

Its an Armenian Apostolic Church ... but yea maybe when we do out Pre-cana I will talk to him.

I've heard of some strict rules but NEVER those. That sounds insane.

i never heard of them, we got married in a catholic church when it was time for me and dh to kiss he told us it wasnt good enough in front of everyone and to do it again, everyone laughed

this may be the case--that sounds ridiculous!!!!!!
On a smaller (or less crazy) scale, our church's info said the photographer had to stay at the back of the church the whole time except during the processional, but our Deacon said he didn't care and he could go anywhere, but the Priest (who really doesn't do any weddings, the deacons do all of them) was really strict....maybe it's something like that!
