Jenn: My journal is a sort of a diatribe of my personal thoughts about my wedding. Its not private of course, and anyone is free to read it. But sometimes I will vent in there and it is my right to do so as it is your right to read it. I don't think I should have to consider every lurkers thoughts when I write in there. Thats fine that you feel that way but I think if you come looking for my 'bridal diary', readers should understand its context.

This whole thing has been blown out of proportion. This is a very stupid thing to waste energy on. If people hate me and want to be rude to me, fine - its only cyberhate. I can deal.

Lets get back to the fun stuff.

Sonicstef - You acuse others of 'lurking' but you sent everyone on UW to come hear to see what we posted. Having a bride on this board inform us of what is being said about some of us on UW is the same thing that you did. For those who responded to you with harsh words, well that is that same thing that you did also. If you choose to post admittedly harsh words, then you should be able to take it when someone has harsh words for you. Sorry sister, but there is no special set of rules for you. You can continue to be as harsh as you want to be, but I don't think you should then complain when others are harsh with you and expect the rest of us to jump in and defend you.

But, I totally agree that we should just put all of this behind us and get on with the fun stuff.

Ladies, let it go. you are all ganging up on someone for something everyone has done in life. Sometimes we hurt peoples feelings unintentionally. She said she was sorry. I think you all have emphaszied your feelings enough, and now you are being kind of mean, given its like 20 people against one...who has always been willing to help all of us when we need it. We are not all girlfriends here, but lets not let the fact that we hide behind annonymity allow us to say things to another person that are mean and hurtful, and that we would never say in person.

I guess we really do have differences of opinion...but doesn't that make this site GREAT!!?? not to mention the US? Did you know that you can be arrested in many European countries for looking up anything related to Neo-Nazism??

I had to reread the oiginal thread...and to be honest...I don't see anything wrong with what Stef said...

Just as some of us are Democrats, Republicans, Libertarians, Green Party Members, Reformers, Right to Lifers, Legalization of Marijuana, Neo-Nazis...we all have different opinions and we do have the right to have them...thankfully!!

I don't know about coining the phrase 'happy planning' - I don't know if it is 'coinable' - I have been using it for a long time on this board

Let's all remember the 'king' this weekend (who my dog is named after )...and his phrase...'Don't be cruel...'

Yabbobay i totally agree with you.

Part of me really didn't want to post because i didn't want the thread to continue. Honestly, i am SO TIRED of it. I mean God, why not get the pitchforks and torches out? I am amazed how many brides have stated 'lets forget about this' in some shape or form but it's always AFTER they have already vented on Stef. Most people here i am sure have said, typed or done things that were misinterpretted. Everyone knows Stef's name... why?... because she obviuosly really likes the boards and is very active on them, hence you see her name more often and can scrutinze things more. Let it go. She didn't say anything wrong. Do you really think she is a terrible person when she has helped out and offered advice so much? I just don't think that makes sense. And honestly, even if she DID say or do something wrong (which i really don't think she did) i think everyone ganging up on her is wrong too. Just because one thinks they are defending themselves doesn't give them teh right to be nasty either

Stef... i hope you don't reply to this thread anymore as i really don't think you need to defend yourself. Besides, anything you say may (and has) be blown out of proportion. let it go. it'll fade out in its own.

I agree with you. Stef, you have the most wonderful ideas and I always look foward to reading your posts/replies. I have to admit that ocassionally your responses are a bit blunt, HOWEVER, you are only trying to be helpful and honest...and we all respect you for that. (well, most of us, I guess!! )

Again, do not even bother responding to this thread anymore, it is not worth the time or effort.

Yabooby, when I said I coined the phrase it was a joke to get the air lightened on this over heated topic. Don't worry I will not really try to go out and try to coin it, I know the phrase was not an original thought of mine.
