Original post by beachbum05

Post a picture of a house you'd love to buy (on the realistic end - not the kabillion-dollar homes)....

SO many of these houses are not really realistic!!! But gorgeous!

HUGE houses that are not in NY are at realistic prices, not NY houses though, lol

Yeah I'm hoping to get like a 3-4 bed 1-2 bath house in suffolk for 300-400 which is realistic.

This was Sami Sosas house in LN. OK if I win the lotto I want this house I passed by it many times, Its SICKKKKKKKK

LN house

See thats toooooo much for me - the style of that house. And if I ever had a bunch of money to buy a multimillion dollar house, I'd want more land. The next door neighbor is RIGHT there. For that money, I'd want some high-azz shrubs so no one can see my palace

Maybe comparatively a lot of houses in Suffolk are less expensive than the majority in Nassau or Queens, but Suffolk county has some of the most expensive houses in the country!

And nowhere on LI is in the middle of nowhere! Unless you're out on the north fork or the hamptons!

You western LI/NYC girls and your perceptions of Suffolk!

its not bad perceptions, but for me personally its far from my parents and i think about when we have kids...my mom doesnt drive and for us to always drive back to queens would turn into a pain, also to his parents house too and they would be the ones to babysit our kids...plus for work its pretty far, thats my only problem. Otherwise i wish with the prices and the size of a house you get

It was Melville I think she was looking at. It was far from Queens. SHe was getting soooooooo much land for 400 something and the houses were separated from each other. But she decided not to move all the way there.

Yeah I'm sorry but I have to say not all of Suff is really 'cheap.' Just like any area there are more affordable and more expensive parts. If you're looking for something on the water in Suffolk believe me its not cheap.

Being from NHP I have to disagree with that statement, its not a nice neighborhood anymore, yes its close the city but that is all it has going for it

And that house for sale is a girl from my grade, i lived around the block from her
and look at the price, and that house hasnt been touched since 1985 when i was in it. notice no pics of the bathrooms cause they are all dated
