Yeah Suff c is really cheap. my sis was looking at a town there, I forgot the name but it was a huge house for really cheap but the only prob was it was in the middle of no where and an hour to Queens

Maybe comparatively a lot of houses in Suffolk are less expensive than the majority in Nassau or Queens, but Suffolk county has some of the most expensive houses in the country!

And nowhere on LI is in the middle of nowhere! Unless you're out on the north fork or the hamptons!

You western LI/NYC girls and your perceptions of Suffolk!

LOL!!! I agree.

no its just about not moving that far from our families, especially when they'll be the ones watching our kids when we need them to bc i dont think ill put them in daycare or get a babysitter

No - I totally can understand that. I just think its funny. Some people think we live out in the boonies.

We just bought our house in Suffolk, in Bay Shore to be exact. We're 3 mins from the train station (we both commute into NYC) and we have a boat slip!

Not all parts of Queens are urban. If I had to choose I would go with Nassau County but I sure SC is nice too, like the Hamies!!!

When I see houses like this I just think of all the shoveling that needs to be done when it snows! Thank God FH has a snow blower!

So true!

Kim, I found it on MLSLI - $799,000.

I WISH FH DIDNT HAVE A JOB IN MANHATTAN!

then again, Kim, you're looking here and you commute right? hey, maybe we can be neighbors and you and Josh can commute into nyc together!

I totally low-balled at $500K! YIKES!!!!

Yeah, totally. A good commute never hurt anybody, but hopefully by that time, Aaron will be running the company and I'll be a 'kept woman'
