Re: table camera or not?

I have 12 tables and there was NO way I was having 12 cameras on the tables. I bought a package of 4 and I'm placing them on tables where I think I would get the best pictures. For example, I wouldn't give a camera to my great aunts and uncles, they probably won't take pictures so we gave them to the table where our bridal party will be, FH's nieces and nephews, and two of our friends tables.

This is exactly what we are doing.

Re: table camera or not?

I put 20 cameras out. Only about 1/2 were completed. Some had only a few pics taken...I brought those cameras with me on the honeymoon. SO far I only got the honeymoon ones developed and there are some cute wedding shots on there.

Re: table camera or not?

I think table cameras are great and some get good shots..MOST do not. O I wouldnt invest in a bunch.

And another thing is that I had people at the wedding with cameras and they didnt take much pics at the reception..they were up talking and dancing so hindsight says I did good not buying them..but if you have some trusted fol at the wedding..have them take key shoots

Re: table camera or not?

I wanted to do this but FH said he was at a wedding where the B&G had them and felt annoyed by all the constant flashes going off. Instead, I am buying about 4 or 5 and giving them to people from different parts of the guest list (one from each side of the families, one from each group of friends, etc.) and asking them to take photos for me.

Re: table camera or not?

i am going to have cameras at my table during the reception. my cousin had cameras on their tables and it owrked out great. she had some shots that the photographer didnt get and some funny candid ones. its a good ides i think. and the good thing that her bridal party did was they paid for those cameras to get developed.

Re: table camera or not?

We had a 15exposire camera on every table. We got a lot of shots of people at each table plus DH's aunt finished all the film of people dancing so we have quite a few good dancing pics of a lot of our guests.

Re: table camera or not?

We put a camera on each table. Unfortunately most of our guests didn't finish up their film , so I was stuck with a lot of half used cameras!!

But the people who really did use the cameras provided us with some great pics.
THough the picture quality wasn't great, I have to say we did get a few very priceless shots that I will cherish forever (even though only DH and I can appreciate these, since they our friends and families doing incredibly silly things ) To me, that alone was worth it

Of all the pics of me and my dad dancing, the one pic taken with a table camera was the absolute BEST .. even better than what the photographers captured.

I think its worth the investment

Re: table camera or not?

I am planning on getting them also, 1 per table. I used them for my e-party and we got a LOT of great shots. I had a close friend of the family check them out throught the night to make sure they were being used (or she used them herself). Only a few (out of about 12) were not finished and if that happens again we can just take them on our honeymoon!

Re: table camera or not?

I had table cameras and if you are on the fence about getting them I definitely reccomend you do. I got sooo many great shots, shots the photographer missed. I had 19 tables and I put one on each table and five on the kids table. Some of the best shots I got were from those cameras. Of course, some didn't come out, but it was all worth it for all the great ones that did. I bought 27 exposure cameras at Staples, Staples brand when they were on sale for 97 cents each around the time of my wedding. Developing for all of them cost about $150, which after all the money I spent on this wedding, was not much. My photographer did not take pics of every table and luckily with those cameras I have a picture of every single person that was at my wedding!! Sure they were not all used up (many were though thanks to the kids) but we just took the leftovers on our honeymoon which was great when we didn't want to bring the digital and worry about losing it!! So frome this past bride..I totally recommend them!!!!

Definitely do it. The photographer will mostly take pictures of you and your family so these will capture your gusts having a good time.

Re: table camera or not?

I keep changing my mind about this every few weeks. I'm probably going to put one on a few tables, not every one.
