I could NOT live without one.

However, my children will not have them.

We would not be able to survive without one. We like to watch our 10:00 shows in bed so in case we fall asleep, we are already in bed. DH can't sleep without the TV on.

I also like it for the weekends when I want to be lazy and hide in the bedroom and watch cheezy lifetime movies or something.

we don't have one.

I did as a teenager, b/c really, my parents didn't need to watch 90120 everyweek.

We have 2 TV's in the house, one in the living room, one in the bedroom.
If I had anymore rooms, like a den or family room I probably wouldn't have one in the bedroom.

I am against it..all bedrooms..

It could be in kitchen, bathroom, where ever, I am an avid tv watcher, but in my room, no way...roll over on me, not for the remote

and in my future kids rooms, I don't like the idea, I would like to know that they are going to bed at a decent hour

we have one, but we don't use it all the time. Sometimes we want to go to bed and get tired, but still want to watch something. Sometimes the tv helps us go to sleep.

Definitely a necessity of mine!

We don't have one in the bedroom. Neither of us had them in the bedroom during childhood. My parents believe that a family learns to compromise and share when you have one TV. TV's in the bedrooms pull people apart. I kind of agree.

We always watch TV in bed before we go to sleep, but we dont' have cable in the bedroom.

I do not want my children having TV in their rooms until they are teenagers, at least. I didn't have one until I left for college!

We have it and it's a terrible thing. Most nights DH forgets to set the timer and I wake up at 4 am to the third re-run that night of Cassini's Saturn Missions on the Science channel or whatever.

It's nice to be able to watch the later shows like ER in bed so you can just fall asleep, but if you don't shut it off, you sleep terribly.

I agree, but i think in the teen years, my parent's NEEDED to pull my brother & I apart, to stop the fighting.

We do not have a television in the bedroom, and we do not want one...as it is, we rarely watch tv (go for 3-4 days with no TV).

We have one - but that is not what I wanted. DH insisted on it

Re: Televisions in the bedroom...

We have one, but only use it in the mornings before work when getting dressed to watch 'Know Before You Go' on channel 61 for weather and traffic & train reports.

Other than that we watch TV in the den.

I did not have one in my room until High School and I will be doing the same for when I have children.

We'll have one. Sometimes I just like cuddling up in bed to a movie.

The kids won't have one until they're at least 13.

We have one in the bedroom, because we only have 2--one in the living room and the other in the bedroom. I'll watch something in the bedroom if he is watching sports in the other room. I love watching Good Morning America when I am getting ready for work. We don't watch much together in bed before going to sleep.
