No way - can't let that caca infiltrate my brain right before dozing off. A good novel does the trick.

We have one in our bedroom and love it!! I'd rather watch tv in our room than in the family room.

Re: Televisions in the bedroom...
We have one in our bedroom. I like to watch the news in the morning sometimes when I get ready or watch Nick at Night sometimes.
We have 4 TVs in our apt - bedroom, office, family room and DH has a room what he calls the entertainment room where he plays his video games with surround sound.

We don't have one at this point. DH would like one, I'm not opposed to it - I think if I were tired enough I could sleep through a nuclear war.
We have one in stepdaughter's room. She's 5 and spoiled, but this way she can watch Barney or what-have-you without the songs getting stuck in my head.

because if you only have 1 TV, it forces you to come to an agreement on what to watch. having two TV's makes it too easy for one to run into the bedroom for the night.
When you are home, you should spend time together, even if it's doing different things in the same room.
I just think if you spend too much time in separate rooms, it creates distance

I have to have one. I leave it on all night to sleep, with the volume low.

In our apartment, we had a tv in our room, and many times we would fall asleep watching it. We lived in tampa, and one night there was a horrible storm, that caused a blackout..it lead to hours of great intimacy. so my reasoning is strickly sexual. If we feel like retreating into the room to go to bed, you will be surprised how quickly things progress if there is not a tv on. try it for a couple of days, no tv at night, and see if you are intimate more..On weekend mornings, it is also nice, we lay there and talk, we don't turn on the tv. weekday mornings, I turn Howard on instantly

I like this...
I also think of the bedroom as something sort of sacred. You sleep there and generally use the room to make babies...You know?

we have one...but I'd hesitate on having one in the kid's room...i know as a kid myself, i had one and it was very distracting when i tried to do HW i was always tempted to watch. 'I'm on the fence' to quote Randy Jackson!

I love having a TV in my bedroom. I really don't think I could live without it. I know they say you aren't supposed to have one in there, but it is an absolute necessity for me!

thats not necessarily true. We have three tv's but we ALWAYS watch tv together, even if I have to watch his WWII programs. The bedroom TV is to watch together at night, and the den one is for guests/when we do hobby stuff/when his friends are over watching crap.
So you can have one in the bedroom and still not use it to separate yourselves.
