boogie-when are you meeting with stacy? we're meeting with her next wed. at 8:30. do you like working with her? we've never met her before. i hope she's better than jr. he was nice until we booked, but then i had a little problem with him so i'm happy to not have to work with him anymore.

Actually, I have never met or worked with Stacy before. I originally booked with Mel, but I got a call from Stacy asking me to make an appt to pick menus. She sounded very nice.

I gotta say, I'm a little sad to hear about these new menus. I guess I booked a while ago (last Feb) so they probably weren't even in the works yet, but I still feel like I am missing out on something....

BTW, I am meeting with Stacy before you (Monday night)...so I'll let you know how it goes!

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread

I also booked last February and this is the first I'm hearing about the new menus!!!

My second choice for a hall was Jericho Terrace and the fact that they had a choice of 8 menu was the really attractive point of that hall to me...but the Fox was more my style.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE FM me after you go to pick your menu! Let me know if they want an 'upgrade' charge for the new menu! I'd be so grateful.

As it is, they remodeled the Garden Terrace room and I DO NOT like the new carpet or the repainted ceiling...now this!!! Sigh...

Please let me know as soon as you find out. Thanks!

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread

we booked with JR also, but i think he had to take a leave of absence. stacey called us this week and we're supposed to meet with her on Tuesday to set the menu. if i get a chance, i'll tell you how she is. she sounded really nice on the phone when i made the appointmet, so i guess we'll see. i'm definitely interested in the choice of 8 entrees, but i wonder how much the fee/ extra charge will be. i'll ask and i'll try and post afterwards. so far i'm real happy with the fox hollow and have heard nothing but good things, especially about their food.

Okay - a little confused here - everyone keeps mentioning Stacy and JR - I booked with Frank - did anyone else? Should I be in contact with someone else?

I think when you finalize things (i.e. menu picking, linen) you meet with Stacy. I could be wrong but that's what it seems like.

I don't know EXACTLY when they did it, but the carpet is now a floral/paisley type of print with pinks, greens, and black and/or maroon. IIt used to be a simple teal color with small cream color dots. The ceiling was painted kind of a stark white, which I'm not crazy about either...I think it was either cream color or light wood tone. The window treatments are very heavy now, they are also cream/ivory, but I'm hoping they change those in the spring. If you look at the photo on their website, you can see what it used to look like. It's not bad, really...I just loved it the old way.

What are gonna do...right? We'll all have such FANTASTIC weddings, we won't even notice the darn carpet!!!

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread

I was obsessing about whether or not the new menu would be an option for us, so we called Stacy yesterday.

She left me a voicemail and said it would, which made me very happy. I have to call her back on Monday to find out what the upgrade fee might be.

We had a ton of other questions for her also:

Do they allow rose petals, fresh or freeze dried? (Some places don't, afraid of slip & falls)
Do they supply a runner? (we have no limo, staying next door the night before)
Do they supply a podium?
Do they set up a table outside for a unity candle at the ceremony?
Do they allow the chocolate fountain?

I'm happy to say the answer to EVERY question was YES!!! These were some of the little details that we worrying me.

I don't know why I worried...I LOVE the FOX HOLLOW!!!

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread

I don't know why you worried either..cause you freaked me out when you wrote about the changes...I went there today at about 12. I saw the Graden Terrece room , the Briar room and the Winter Garden...They were all as fabulous as i thought. Yes they made changes to the Garden T...but to me it looks sooo much better. The ceiling doesn't look stark white at all. It actually had a very warm hue to it. The carpet looks soo much better..I was soo relieved today. I even got to see the Garden Terece and the Briar all set up....BEAUTIFUL!!! And the smell from the food I wanted to pretend to have an invite...

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread

I talked to Stacy today and she confirmed that you CAN upgrade to the new, 7 choice menu.

The fee is REALLY nominal and just about covers what they are paying to print the menus for the tables. I think they have 1 menu between every two guests.

She is emailing me a copy of the new menu to look at. I may keep the old one, because I'm worried about the possibility that quality of the food could suffer if the kitchen is making 7 different meals instead of just 3.

ALSO, Fox DOES ALLOW the CHOCOLATE FOUNTAIN to be brought in from the outside vendor...they do not have one. You just have to sign a waiver saying they did not supply it and can't be held responsible for anything 'bad' that happens in relation to the fountain, like, well I guess TUMMY ACHES from all that YUMMY chocolate.

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread

Wow - I missed out on a lot; there seems to be alot going on with Fox Hollow - should I be concerne? hmmm.

I also booked with Frank, and now i am hearing of Stacey... I didn't know my booking would be exchanging hands. I like the service I'd received from Frank; I just hope he is who we will be dealing with.

Menu changes... does anyone have a copy of the new menu? I would definitely like to compare to the old.

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread

I Fellow Fox HOllow Brides!! As you might know, I am Married!!! I posted my review on the BR. ERicia, Thank you so much for being a part of our special day!! I am so happy you were able to make it!!

IN a nut shell, I was so happy with Fox Hollow!!! They did an amazing Job and the Service was Great!! They went above and beyond to make sure we were treated like Royalty!! I also posted my Pictures on BHB. So look out for the picts.

AS for the Menus, I was given the opportunity to use our contract menu or to upgrade to the 8 option menus. You have to pay the upgrade costs. We stayed with the 3 because we knew that of the three that we like them all. Either way, you will not have any complaints b/c the CH will make up for your lack of reception food. Everyone was saying that there was so much food!! YOu girls have nothing to worry about!!

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread

Just wanted to say that I met with Stacy last night to select the menu. I didn’t even end up asking about the new menu…like Judy said, we were both pretty happy with the selections for the 3 entrée option. We chose Filet Mignon, Poulet a la Princesse (chicken topped with asparagus, mozzarella and wine sauce), and perch with a potato crust. All sounds yummy to me!!!! And Peach Melba for dessert…just talking about it I am getting soooo hungry!

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread

Did anyone get to see the menus that FH puts out for guests? How do they look as far as presentation? Would there be a need to type up our own?

I haven’t seen it, but I have a feeling that with the “old” menu, FH does not provide menus. I may be wrong on that, but I can say that Stacy didn’t mention anything about it when we met with her.

I plan on most likely creating my own menus and place cards (not too happy with the place cards FH gave us)…

P.S. – Still on the subject of menu selections, we chose the Hibachi station and the Crepe station for the CH…anyone know if the crepes are any good? I wanted some variety at the CH…

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread

I'm with you on making my own placecards. I decided a while back to do it only because I hate handwriting the names. I'm going to do something on Word and then put them together with some cardstock that goes with my colors.

I was also considering the crepe station and would love to hear any comments.
