I haven't gotten a single email from them. What chairs were you voting on?

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread

My Colors are Wine and Cream! I just bought some stock paper in wine at paper access and it is so beautiful. I plan to make programs if I could find a template.

It looks as though I might be the first Fox HOllow bride for 2004. Anyone else before me???

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread

I can't bring myself to go to those showcases...for one I've already picked all of my vendors, and from what I've heard about bridal showcases in general they're not so much fun.

I did go to one of their planning seminars, though, and I felt it was very helpful. Did everyone go to one of those?

I heard their planning seminars were great, but what exactly do they talk about?

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread

my wedding is 10/23/04

i can't wait, the cocktail hour is in the briar fox and the reception is in the garden terrace. i loved the winter garden but it was not big enough for us.

my color is going to be wine/burgandy deep red whatever you want to call it.

i still have to work on my florist. i need to set up appointments. i'm going to the in house florist first. i may end up using them for the centerpieces and going someplace else for everything else. we shall see...

They do a powerpoint presentation about all of their recommended vendors. The thing about it that's so helpful is that they break down all of the things you need to do for the wedding, planning wise.

I thought it was good. I'm sure it helps that I won a raffle prize (a GC towards a Scotto Bros. rehearsal dinner package)...

fallinlove04--I added us both to the list!

I am getting married 4/17/04. Cocktail in the restaurant and reception in the Winter Garden Pavillion. Our reception is during the afternoon and we are staying at the Inn the night of the wedding. My girls dresses are sky blue (periwinke), but I plan to have the flowers in shades of fuschia and pink. I Love how they redecorated the Winter Garden, except for the chairs. The white paint is already chipping off. Maybe that's why they sent around that survey about the chairs. I hope they get some new ones by April!

Afternoon brides-what are you doing after the wedding? I looked into having an after party at the Inn, but I'm not sure if I'm going to do it or not. You have to pay a room fee and then a price per person for beverages. Then you can choose to have platters of food if you want also. I just don't want the day to be over at 6:30, but I don't really know what else to do. I heard that they are strict about having parties in the guest rooms at the Inn so I don't want to try that. Do you think we could hang out at the bar in the restaurant of Fox Hollow with the bridal party? Or do you have any suggestions for someplace else to go?

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread

I'm trying to decide if I want to do anything afterwards as well. The Best Western on Jericho Turnpike has a bar, I was thinking of calling them......not sure if I'll have the energy for another party once the wedding is over LOL

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread

I'm in the same boat with the whole afterparty thing...our wedding ends at 6:00 and I too was thinking about just having it spill over into the bar area. Do you think you have to notify them of this?

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread

the only reason I ask is because what if the restaurant itself is booked for that evening...do you think this could/would affect the bar area??

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread

I know that the restaurant and bar are closed to the public on Sundays, but another wedding might take the bar (maybe a wedding that starts at 11:45 or something)....who knows.....
