Re: The New FoxHollow Thread
Im a MOH for a wedding at Fox Hollow next year. Is it worth the $$ and convienence factor to stay at the Inn? The price seems outrageous to me considering its LI and its Jan. You can stay at the Plaza for $200.

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread
I am getting married there on 5/30/04.I live on Staten Island, so my father, my BMs and me will be staying at the Inn the night before & a few of us the night of. My wedding is Sunday afternoon, ceremony in the garden.
You're all right, it is quite expensive for rooms that are ok, but NOT $219 dollar rooms.
But, it certainly is convenient, not having to worry about traffic or transportation the day of the wedding. Plus, our ceremony is at 11:30am, so we will be taking photos at 9.
It's beautiful, and I'm sure we will all have our fairytale wedding!!!

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread
I agree....the convenience alone makes the price worth it for me, in terms of staying at the Inn the night before. I love the idea of walking to my wedding! I do think their rooms are a bit pricey though, especially to expect any of your guests to pay. In addition to blocking off a handful of guest rooms at the Inn, I also blocked off 10 rooms at the Executive Inn right down the road.

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread
I also blocked rooms at the Best Western down the street. It is $109. I wish most of our guests would stay at the Inn, but I think it's important to give them a choice.

I know he does it, but only once you've booked with him....I thinkit's one of those things you go to finalize your menu, etc.
I was just curious to know

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread
A new question, just to keep things moving and shaking here.....What are your colors? Did the decor of the hall have anything to do with your choices for colors?
My primary color is pink, but I'm also working some purples and blues into it as well.
My reception room (Winter Garden) is pretty neutral, but I love the ivy on the walls! Very spring-y, IMO....so the pinks seem to fit.

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread
BDB, thanks for keeping this thread up - you rock!Pink will be beautiful in the Winter Garden room in spring but that room is sooo pretty that everything would look good!
My colors are black, white, and red. Bright candy apple red. I think all the ivy will soften the red a little so that it's not so glaring but will still be bright and fun and happy.
But no, the decor didn't have anything to do with the colors. In fact, we booked Fox Hollow without ever seeing the rooms, and I had already decided on the colors.
Is your reception in the afternoon or evening?

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread
I am really psyched about this thread. I feel like a dork, every time I see it disappearing I just have to bring it back LOL......I LOVE Candy Apple Red! I think it's a great color for weddings, but I am hooked on pink, so I knew I had to pick it.
My reception is during the day....I think the Winter Garden looks so nice during the day....never seen it at night, but I'm sure it's beautiful then, too....

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread
My bridesmaids & MOH will be wearing black ( I just couldn't find anything i liked in other colors). Our reception is going to be in Winter Garden (that room is just sooooo pretty). I did make sure to have some springy colored flowers as an accent to the girls dresses.Wow.... just a couple of more months for me and it'll be all over and done with. All that planning and decision making.
