Anyone here getting married at the Fox Hollow? If so who are you using as your officiant? That is one of the last things we haven't done.

I am! I'm using Reverand Michael Callahan, he's a vendor on this site....

Oct2004Bride.....I don't remember if I was getting an intermezzo! Is it one of the things listed on the menu selections pages?

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread

Hmmm...I don't remember anything about the intermezzo or a pasta course. But that menu is 10 pages long, and my memory is pretty bad, so who knows? It's been a while since I've looked at it.

I was told that we don't need to decide on menu until about 2-4 weeks before.

ETA: You can choose to have a pasta station during cocktail hour, I think.

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread

TwoBugs, I know...I know....I don't have to pick any of this stuff for at least another 2 months, but honestly I can't stop thinking about it! It's driving me nuts! I just want everything to be nice....

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread

I completely understand!

Everyone says that the wedding is about the bride and groom, but it's sooooo important to me that our guests are happy. I want to do everything right!

The food is the fun part, I think...but I'm too busy stressing about DJ's to give it much thought at the moment...

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread

TwoBugs, are you looking for DJ recommendations? I think mine is pretty good. Big Hits Entertainment.....

I also stressed about the DJ....music is SOOO important to me. I am happy with my DJ choice, because he seems receptive to my ideas and flexible. But now I am stressing trying to think of songs to play...I'm kinda picky LOL

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread

I have a few DJ's in mind - Big Hits is one, along with Music by Michael, Spin around Sound, and one other I can't remember - but I'm EXACTLY like you: I'm stressing mostly about the TYPE of music to be played, not even necessarily who will play it. (Crazy, I know!)

I am very picky about music, too. Sigh....Add that to the 'Things you will do to try to please everyone and will probably fail miserably at' list!

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread

I am just nervous about leaving the choices up to the DJ...I'm pretty much trying to select every single song. I know that I want Disco, Funk, GOOD 80's music, some rock....and I'm afraid that my definition of what's good might differ from the DJ, or even my guests.

Plus I cannot stand most of the typical music that gets played at weddings (Celine Dion, Shania Twain.......the list can go on and on), and I really need to make sure none of it gets played!

You're right, there's so much to consider.....I really do want my guests to be happy, but I also want to make sure it makes me happy too!

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread

OMG I would have a blast at your wedding - that's the same stuff that we want to play!

I can't stand all those generic ballads sung by people who can't even sing. We want upbeat, funky, and fun!!
