The official Encouragement thread lol

Original post by Sandradv121

So with all the post about dieting and working out and beating up ourselves for that one special day, I figured it would be a good idea for us to encourage each other so we stay sane!

So, what diet are you doing, hows it going and what sort of workouts do you do?

I currently stick to a low sugar, high protien, no gluten/dairy diet and workout 5 days a week. I also bought the 30 day shred.

I've been training in Shotokan Karate for five years. I have to take my black belt test at the end of March. So, right now I'm killing myself with that. Probably training about 4 days per week for about 2 hours each day. Kill me now. LOL

I also stick to a 1200 calorie diet during the week. But, on the weekends all bets are off!

I am a black belt actually but I got it when I was about 11 lol good luck!

Thanks! What style did you study?

I have been 'on' weight watcher for a total of 5 years. I have lost about 50 pounds. I went to the meetinsgs in the beginning and stopped after about 4 months. I stick to the 'lifestyle' however, sometimes I am better at it than others.

I am pretty comfortable with my weight, however, I have noticed lately that things are drooping, so I have been using the gym at my school after I teach. I also bought the 30 day shred, but have not received it in the mail yet.

Does anyone want their fiances to start loosing weight, or working out? Any suggestions? I don't want to hurt him...

fh needs to lose weight i love him like this but i swear his heart is in trouble....i made him join ww with me but he gave up

Thanks for the support girls!! I dont think I'm fat...I'm not trying to lose weight. I already lost 60 lbs. As danielle said, I'm just trying to maintain. Sometimes, I still need encouragement to keep with WW though. I want to keep at it so the weight doesnt pile back on!

I think its great that you are maintaining. Thats what I am trying to do, and tone up in the process as well.

Unfortunately, I am absolutely incapable of dieting. I just have no will power. I try to run outside (when it's warm enough!), and I got the Jillian Michaels game for the Wii fit. It's similar to the shred, but it tells me my progress and weighs me, so no cheating! I have lost about 7 pounds since I started (January). Not bad for someone who can't diet!

I was thinking of getting that. How strenuous is it on your knees? I had knee surgery and as insurance would have it, I'm cut off after 2 more sessions. I've got a home plan but I need more!!

Sorry for the confusion. Things have been so hectic. What I was thinking and how it came across the keyboad were two totally different things.

Holy Cow!!

How long did it take you? How long have you kept it off? Have you thought of becoming a 'leader?' Before I got hurt, I was maintaining, but the inactivity and blues that set in, along with my lack of discipline resulted in about 40lbs in 9 months.

Thanks for being an inspiration and not one of those girls who gain an ounce in 20 years and can't fit into their size 0 jeans and whine about it.

Hi Girls,

I wanted to share some of my affirmations with you, as in my previous post, I told you how they maybe cheesy, but they make me feel a world better:

1) I am beautiful. I deserve to be healthy and happy.
2) I really like my ____ today because_____
3) I am all I can be and more.
4) I do not believe in Can't
5) I am better than those who judge me.
6) I deserve this. Because I work hard
7) My body is my temple. I will treat it as such. Others will respect it.

Like I said cheesy, but for some reason they boost your ego and work. Sometimes you need to nurture your soul so that way you can fully see your hard work.
