The OFFICIAL Hawaii Honeymooners thread!!!!

Original post by Sassy

Ladies, let's help each other plan our HMs.
Since we all are mainly going to the same islands (I'm going to Maui and Kauai, and I know lots are too- also Oahu is popular among us) let's post the activites/tours that we find interesting so we can help each other.

can you use the hyatt spa (kauai) even if you didn't book there?

Re: The OFFICIAL Hawaii Honeymooners thread!!!!

I'm pretty sure you can. Call them from now and see what they say and how long in advance should you make your appt. I may do it too, just to experience the different spas so I could tell future Brides which one is better

We are waiting till the July 4th sales hit. I think July is when the summer clothes go on sale and clearance. We have no money...

2003 ... You certainly can go to the spa even if you're not a guest. We saw a few people there from other hotels. Anara is rated one of the best spa's in Hawaii & you do not want to miss it!

Oh, and while you're there ... stay and have the spa breakfast! It was scrumptious. I loved sitting by the Olympic size swimming pool in my robe & slippies & eating a great healthy breakfast!

oooohhh Thanks Christine. What if your breakfast is included with your hotel stay. Would the spa breakfast be included or would we be charged extra?

I'm so excited - we finally booked our HM to Hawaii 5 nights at the Hyatt in Maui and 6 nights at the Hyatt in Kauai. I cannot wait! We got a convertible in Maui and a jeep in Kauai. It will be so much fun!

If I rememebr correctly, the Four Seasons-Hualalai on the Big Island was ranked #1 : also mentioned in the top Ten was:
Ritz Carlton Maui
Princeville - Kauai
Kahala Mandarin Oriental Hotel - Oahu
A ultra exclusive resport on the private island of Lanai

I remember these rankings:
#1 Four Seasons-Hualalai on the Big Island
Hyatt Kauai #4
Grand Wailea Maui #5

Re: The OFFICIAL Hawaii Honeymooners thread!!!!

i just wanted to tell you girls that plan on attending a luau that you should book asap--

-old lahaina--they told me they were booked til august 15th-ish when i called--so i was put on the waiting list and was told to call back in a few hours so in the meantime- i tried online..---the trick is to book online for the old lahaina! when i called back later on she was checking for my waiting list reservations and ended up being a permanent reservation from when i booked online!i asked her how come i got in online but had to get on a waiting list when i called and----the girl told me they have a block for online booking---so if you can't get a reservation when you call, they will put you on a waiting list or try online---but don't wait!

When we were in Hawaii, we called for the Old Lahaina Luau also and they told it was all booked up for the next 3 weeks. They told us to call back that day and see if there were any cancellations. We took a drive there anyway to see the town and they just happened to have an opening! We were lucky..so I will book ahead of time just to be safe!
