Ladies, let's help each other plan our HMs. Since we all are mainly going to the same islands (I'm going to Maui and Kauai, and I know lots are too- also Oahu is popular among us) let's post the activites/tours that we find interesting so we can help each other.

Re: The OFFICIAL Hawaii Honeymooners thread!!!!
If you plan on doing a bike ride down the volcano in Maui (especially the sunrise tour)...I would book as soon as you get there. We almost had trouble getting a spot. We also took a helicopter tour in Kauai ..you might want to book that early too!

Re: The OFFICIAL Hawaii Honeymooners thread!!!!
They pick you up from your hotel at some awful hour like 2 in the morning. I was nauseous from not getting enough sleep ! They drive you to there 'home base' and show you a safety video and then drive you to the top of the volcano. THey serve you coffee and muffins in the van and give you a windbreaker jacket, pants, gloves and goggles and you wait in the van until the sun rises. We went during rainy season so of course..it rained and I didn't get to see the beautiful sunrise But we rode down the mountain anyway and it was fun..the sun came came out halfway down the mountain. They give you a full breakfast and then you rider through town to the beach. I was very proud of myself. I hadn't been on a bike since I was 12 . I had fun..I bet is even prettier when the sun is shing. Wear layers of clothing because at the top it is freezing!

Re: The OFFICIAL Hawaii Honeymooners thread!!!!
Rainy season is Nov-March. We went in April..still was raining! But..rain is common at the top of the volcano anyway. We just had a lot of rain during the 15 days we were in Hawaii!

Re: The OFFICIAL Hawaii Honeymooners thread!!!!
Ok, so we weren't going to even think about Hawaii because of the long plane ride and the fact that we would have to take off 2 weeks of work....but I think that we've changed our minds!!!
My dad is giving us his timeshare at Marriott so I guess we will just have to go to Maui and Kauai!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Do you think it is better to get a non stop flight or one that connects? I hear that the non stop is too long to be in a plane and that it is better to get out and stretch....on the other hand, it might be nice to get it over with!!! I hate flying!!! I barely made a trip to Vegas.

some connecting flights only stop over for 40 minutes and you don't even have to get off of the plane!
