ive had stomach issues for as long as i can remember...i can remember being about 3-4 years old and my mom having to stay up with me bc of it.
Almost everything upsets my stomach, i just dont break down food well, i need to start taking digestive enzymes. I am also lactose intolerant and just have issues period lol

OO I definitely belong here My name is Danielle and I have IBS lol and im Lactose Intolerant can it get any worse!
ME TOO! And FH
My sister in law is lactose intolerant & takes Lactaid and is okay when she does - can eat ice cream, etc...
Have you tried that?
even with lactaid pills I can only have very little dairy. We use the lactaid milk, which seems to be ok and we found soy based ice cream which we could eat. It actually ends up being healthier but I wish it was by choice!

Re: **The OFFICIAL IBS THREAD**
I have no clue. I'm also taking the vitamins so hopefully that will help and wont have to do the shots for long. The thing is, if the deficiency was caused by my diet than I would just have to change that, but its the IBS that causes the body to not digest/ breakdown the B vitamins in the food you eat. So since thats the reason, I dont know if that will ever change or is something the pills could just hope. Lord I Hope so. Bright side is, I was reading that it could be related to metabolism, so it would be great if I lost weight from gettin the proper vitamins!

i have ulcerative colitis it's so not fun. i've had it for about 8 or 9 yrs. you're whole lifestyle changes. suddenly going potty in public doesn't seem like such a big deal anymore.
i don't know about you guys but i can't stand the pain sometimes, it just gets to the point where i can't move.

I have Crohns (IBD) and was diagnosed back in '03. If anyone wants, feel free to FM me. I've been through everything and back and am doing pretty well. I just don't want to get into too much graphic detail out here
Me too.
I was diagnosed in 2001. i've been sick from childhood and they never understood why until I finally had all the tests. I've been in remission but I think I still have something because i'm still getting sick
I can't count the itis' I have gastritis, esophogitis and some others.....Sometimes I feel like such a hypochondriac.

It's funny because I read somewhere that Virgo's (which I am) 1)tend to have stomach issues 2)tend to be hypochodriacs

I think it's just IBS, the type where you have to make a mad run to the bathroom and most of the time when you're nervous?
