Re: The Official Woodbury Country Club Thread
HiA quick question for past and future WCC brides, when did you do your food tasting and menu selections? I'm getting married in may and I was wondering when should I go for the food tasting and the menu selections.
Thanks

You can go for the food tasting at any time. I believe it's only on Friday nights that you can go. You only get to taste the cocktail hour food, just so you know. They ask that you get a little dressed up too, because of the party that would be going on while you are there. You are actually tasting food from someone else party when you go. We did it and had a great time. The food was great that day and the day of our wedding. The menu selection - they will call you when it is time, but you could always call ahead and ask when the time frame is. I want to say it was about a month before our wedding when we went for the menu selection. Any other questions, you can FM me.
Jen

WCC provides placecards right? My dad has the contract so I don't remember. Anyone have a pic of what they look like?Did you make your own or use theirs?

Re: The Official Woodbury Country Club Thread
I plan on making mine. I am not sure what the CC's look like either but I got mine at Staples. I just do not want to spend anymore money (or waiting on) getting things printed when I know I can do it myself.

The chairs are fairly new and look pretty nice so I'm not doing the seat covers. If you're working within a budget maybe wait until you're a little further along in the planning process to see if you still want them. I do think they look beautiful and help to dress up a room but in my case it was one of the things I didn't care enough about the spend the $ on.
thats what i'm saying

They provide the escort cards that go on the outside table to help people find where they're sitting. I don't have a picture on hand, but they're basic fold-over slips of card stock and they have a 'W' in script centered at the top of the card.
So from what I remember it looks like..
W (centered over the following two lines in script)
M_____________________
Table__________________
..cardstock is off-white and lettering is dark brown(i think) I could be totally off so if anyone remembers better than me, please chime in!!!
Edit: the spacing wouldn't work on this post...so it doesn't look like the real thing :(

Re: The Official Woodbury Country Club Thread
I tried to visit WCC this past Thursday to take some pics of the room for my own reference, but couldn't because the Mills room was getting new carpeting! Whoo hoo! LOL
Hopefully it will still be in great condition by September. Now if only they would change the chairs. I'm slowly learning to like them.

Yes! Not sure of the color. I spoke with Linda. She said it's a pattern and it's gorgeous! (She has to say that though
