Re: The Official Woodbury Country Club Thread
you girls too....how's everyone doing with all of their planning???? I am just in the beginning stages...got the hall and church is next...but that means deciding Lutheran or Catholic. And i feel like its hard to even think about anything else (except dj) because I won't know times, how long i'll need things like photog or limos. So i'm kindn of stuck and afraid to make this church decision.

Re: The Official Woodbury Country Club Thread
you could do dj if you want to put the church decision off for a bit
and the way my photographer worked, i didn't need an exact plan at the time of booking. it sounds like you know enough that you could start looking at packages and places if you wanted. Good luck!

Re: The Official Woodbury Country Club Thread
i was thinking dj next in order to delay that decision, cause that doesnt change....and with the photog i guess i could start looking. I know I want 2 photogs and I want pictures of both of us getting dressed...so i could kinda judge how long i might need them right???

Re: The Official Woodbury Country Club Thread
Hi ladies -We attended a wedding Dec. 16 at the WCC - it was very nice! The cocktail hour was in a room on the main floor. We missed most of it b/c of traffic
but got to enjoy the martini bar, seafood bar and I tasted some veal, escargot and fresh mozz that was good. There was plenty of room and tables set up for people to sit.The dinner was in an upstairs room. My friend had high centerpieces which fit very well in the room. One thing about the bride & groom table - they had the cake set up in front of them, which made it hard to see them. I would have liked it if the cake was off to the side or behind them so we could have seen them better. They had a couple of bars set up in the room. The appetizer was great, a crabcake and salad. I ordered the steak, it was ok, but I am not a big steak person. It has to be really tender for me to like it, I should have ordered the salmon or chicken.
She had a Viennese hour, the chocolate covered fruits were great. It was really a great evening. You ladies are very lucky!

Re: The Official Woodbury Country Club Thread
Hi everyone!!I'm just wondering how flexible WCC was with changing your contract after you signed. I was there last night with FH, and was told that after we signed the contract things could still be added or changed when we get a better idea of what we want. Is that really the case?
Also, I'd love to hear people's opinions of their BM. If you feel uncomfortable answering, you can send me FM!!
Do you work with the same person (BM) the entire time? I remember at some of the other places you talk to the BM initially and then throughout the process you get passed to other people for picking the menu, finalizing details, etc...does this happen at WCC too? How did you feel about it?
Please excuse me if these are dumb questions..I'm just starting out and I'm REALLY excited and REALLY nervous!
Thanks.

WCC is great! Have you had a sample of the food? It's delicious, the grounds are gorgeous, and they try to be as accomodating as possible. They stagger the events so the two groups don't overlap. What else would you like to know?

We didn't know they did food tastings, thank you - we will definately do that. How are the cake styles? My sister's wedding would be the room downstairs for CH and the room upstairs for the reception. The grounds looked very pretty. Because she has use of the side and the cazebo (she may actually have her ceremony there), does that mean she can't go in the back where the fountains are for pictures? Did they throw in anything for anyone? How about chair covers?
Also another place we looked at said they provide a runner, toule, and flowers for the ceremony location. Does WCC? I don't think so since he said they could work on waving the fee while the other place wanted $750. Just curious.

Re: The Official Woodbury Country Club Thread
As far as where you're allowed to take pictures, it really depends on when the second wedding is taking place. They cannot gaurantee that you will be allowed to go into the other area since the bride who booked that area gets first dibs. She may be getting there early to take pics, their cocktail hour may be going on, etc. I've seen beautiful pictures taken on both sides of the fountain pool though so she shouldn't worry. And as far as I know WCC does not decorate the ceremony area. I believe your limo company provides the runner and you work with your florist for the decorations. To give you an idea, for my ceremony my florist is hanging a garland of flowers on the gazebo and we're having around 6 bows with a few flowers on the aisle chairs. The decorations are on the smaller side but we're well under $750. FM if you need more info.Welcome New Vendors
