I just got married there this weekend (woo hoo!) and the carpeting was nice. I don't remember what they had before but it's a dark brown color now...Service was great, I had a wonderful day! My bridal attendant was Lauren and the Maitre'D was Sarah. Both very nice and attentive people. Girls, nothing to fear, WCC will come through for you. We had a great time!

Was anyone else aware that they only give you an hour before hand to take photos? I met with Bob yesterday to select my menu and he stated that since there is another party that day I can't have access to my area more then an hour before my affair. My photographer said he thinks to get all the shots i want in will take over an hour. I wish they would have told me this before hand I would have just tkaen pictures at old westbury gardens.

I think it depends on the timing of the affairs on that day...we were told that we could come earlier than one hour before and even had that written in the contract...

Ugh that ***** I am going after work to raise heck because the guy told us that most people don't get to come early - only if there is no other party booked and they don't give you a definate approval until about 2 months before - so he just out right lied!

Hi, I'm new to the thread

Are you having a day or night wedding? We're having a day wedding and was told that we could be there as early as 9:00am to start taking pictures. I think it really does depend if they have another party or not booked before or after you to be able to take pictures on both sides. Don't worry too much, I'm sure you'll get great pictures. You can always try to take an hours worth of pictures on one side and then use the rest of the time for your side to take pictures so you don't waste anytime. I hope eveything works out. *smile*

please don't get me in trouble!! it's only FH and i that can come early but that's because at the time we booked there was only one other wedding scheduled that day that was after ours..and now there are two...so it could change by the time we get to next year...but my BM keeps telling us not to worry...i have a feeling they usually don't let people come early...

maybe my BM lied to us...we still have almost a year to go before our wedding so it could be possible that he's just saying we can do it now and then when the time comes he says no

ETA: we're also getting married in the winter time..so they're probably more able to accomodate us since it's an off-peak time...

the upstairs room for the reception and for ceremony we are having it in the gazebo on the lake.

The reception is right now in the room as soon as you walk in past the piano and main entrance, but if nobody else is booked that evening we will have it outside by the gazebo we're getting married in.

I'm back, and I'm married!

Some non pro pics in my album. When I get my professional proofs I'll do a full review. There were only a few bumps in the road the day of. But NOTHING would ruin our day.
