Re: The Official Woodbury Country Club Thread

I think it depends on whether or not there is another reception going on.

I am planning to have one or two musicians from my band play and was told it was no problem.

Re: The Official Woodbury Country Club Thread

WCC does not allow any amplified music to be played outdoors, it's some sort of zoning law.

Re: The Official Woodbury Country Club Thread

I had a String Quartet and it ended up being wonderful. They played for the outdoor ceremony and outdoor cocktail hour. I used Sterling Music Ensemble.. a little pricey but great! They made the video really nice with that music in the background.
If you're interested, just go to their website, I think it's SterlingMusicEnsemble.com.

I also can't tell you WCC girls enough how great their service was. They were always by my side on top of everything! I didn't really have to worry about a thing. You can even tell in the video, the second I was done with my flowers, they took them, the second I started crying, they got me a tissue, the second I was looking for something, they were asking me what I needed. Just sensational, We were so happy with our pick of the WCC and you guys should be too!!
Good Luck!

Re: The Official Woodbury Country Club Thread

My DJ placed 2 speakers outside on the patio area and played music. I remember hearing it, it probably wasn't too loud, but it can be arranged.

I'm sure you can also have strolling violins or a harpist if you want.

Re: The Official Woodbury Country Club Thread

Is anyone using candles in their CPs or anything? I heard different halls have different 'flame' policies.

Re: The Official Woodbury Country Club Thread

I booked the Garden Suite for my October 2005 wedding. My fiancee and I just fell in love with it. (Knock on wood) but if it rains, they will have a tent outside for the cocktail hour.

Re: The Official Woodbury Country Club Thread

We booked the Garden suite as well and are very excited about having our ceremony and cocktail hour outside. We just hope and pray that it does not rain! I am so glad that I found this thread because I have been dying to learn about other people's experiences. So far, it sounds like everyone absolutely loves the place.

I called to find out if WCC ever has showcases, in case anyone was wondering they only have one a year and it's in January.

Re: The Official Woodbury Country Club Thread

I went to a christening @ WCC on Saturday.
The room was beautiful-
the food was pretty good as well.
THey accomadated my friends kids by bringing them out chicken fingers and french fries.

The only problem is that they brought out the cake for everyone and some ice cream sunday parfaits for the kids.
Well, All of the adults started too ask for the parfaits it was crazy. The staff was scrambling to get them some - beware of your guests going nuts.

Re: The Official Woodbury Country Club Thread

I wanted to say that I am interested in getting a chocolate fountain and so I contacted Dominic (my BM) to ask if it was ok, and if they could supply a table or any other little details I was going to need to know for the bakery.

He called back and was SO nice and he said to have the bakery (thinking of using Audrey's) call him to work out the details.

Everytime I talk to the hall I get so excited!

Thank you! That looks amazing! Between my FH and I, chocolate is our weakness! I would love to have that at our wedding!

Did you inquire how much that would be?
