Re: the yankee game...
I am at a point in my life right now where I can't be on the boards here all the time. You are right, why add salt to the wounds. I'm dishing out what I get. It's pointed directly towards you. When I say I get grief about the mets choking half way through I mean I really get good grief. All I hear is mets suck, mets stands for my entire teams sucks or do you want to join the better side and become a yankee fan. It just upsets me that I have to hear this crap every year all the time, so when a moment happens when the yankees flop I just get carried away in gloating. I hate the Yankees yes but deep down I know they are a good team of ballplayers, I wont deny that but i've never had anyone say that to me about the mets...you know what I mean? so it hurts my feelings and makes me even more mad towards cocky yankee fans. Not all yankee fans are cocky but some are.Sorry for getting carried away.

Re: the yankee game...
I do apologize if I got carried away also, Bedda. I'm a passionate Yankee fan as you knowYou've explained yourself well, and if you felt I was out of line in my comments directed at you, I'm sorry for that.
I actually can say that I know what Mets fans go through, because my DH is a diehard Mets fan and I see firsthand what he has to live with.. a lot of nonsense from fans who will purposely give him unsolicited , nasty comments about his team for no reason.
No hard feelings. In truth, I cannot blame you for wanting to gloat a bit today. We played horribly and in a way, deserve this reaction in our defeat

Re: the yankee game...
In all honesty my comments are never meant to be directed at one person. It's just very hard being a met fan and getting so much grief that sometimes we just explode! However I though the Yankees were winning it. I was like 'there is no way the Redsox are winning 4 games in a row, maybe one or two but not 4'...but hey you never know. As embarrassing as this loss was for the Yankees the pressure was more on the Redsox, they are the ones who have to win because they are cursed.
Hey is Willie Randolph going to interview for the Mets or not? DH would love to him as manager. At this point I would take Bin Laden...whatever it takes to help us win...LOL

Re: the yankee game...
You know what's ironic about thinking the Sox wouldn't win 4 games in a row? The Yankees haven't lost 4 games in a row since April. It was almost as if worlds had to collide for this to happen and it did.Willie was given 'permission' from the Yankees to interview after the season was over. So I guess he'll be going soon.
He would be a good manager for that club. He'd be strict which is what they need.

Re: the yankee game...
That is very ironic....Is it true that Willie Randolf once interviewed with the mets and they turned him down?
So who will win tonight?
Houston or St. Louis?

Re: the yankee game...
I'm not sure about Willie.I think Houston will win. Based only on my theory about how the Sox wont win the world series. The Astros have Biggio, Beltran, Bagwell and Berkman...4 players with B's. The Red Sox are cursed with B's.
It's destiny. Or at least fun to think of for now.

Re: the yankee game...
Screw Willie Randolf for the Mets manager. He sucks.I want either Lou or Bobby. They need somebody that will light a fire under that teams arse!
Oh... and IMO Boston beats either Houston or St. Louis in a seven game series. Their team is just too stacked (no real weakness - except for the curse).

Re: the yankee game...
DH told me that he heard Bobby Valentine was out as a choice. It was on one of those sports channels. At this point i'd take martha stewart if it would help this team win.
