I'm contemplating getting one of those airbrush tans before my wedding. I'm VERY fair skinned and I'm scared of blending in with my dress LOL. . . .I can't fake bake because all I do is freckle and burn.
Would you look into getting the airbrush tan or just leave it alone? If yes, does anyone have any good recommendations and / or prices? I've never seen pictures from anyone as light as me after they got it done. . .
Thanks!

Try the spray tan. I have done it before and I like it. But you need to test it out because it can get streaky or be uneven. Sometimes it can make your feet and hands streaky if you don't apply the lotion in the right places. Don't go tanning especially if you burn...my mom died from melanoma. People don't realize how dangerous tanning beds are.

I went for an airbrush tan 2 days before my wedding and its one of the best decisions I made in terms of how I looked that day... I'm so glad I did it!!!!!!!!!!!!

i am SUPER pale, like, you need to wear sunglasses to look at my legs-pale.
i have tried all different fake tanners. the DIY at home ones. i think that the best ones are banana boat, and SUN.
banana boat is great and inexpensive, SUN is only sold at beauty supply places like ULTA and is more $$ but works great!
i've never tried the spray tan bc of the friends episode where ross goes. and also bc my sister went and it looked jacked up near her ankles!

i have tried the booth spray tanning and it was horrible...streaks everywhere...so if your going to do airbrush definetly go to a person that sprays it on u...i used to go to a place in farmingville but they stopped doing it. it looked perfect and i am very fair... i am going for a trial at brazil bronze the day before my makeup trial...i want to make sure that the makeup artist's airbrush doesnt effect the tanning airbrush so i would def reccommend doing that...i hear brazil bronze in greet neck is awesome...i think they are a vendor on here...

Hey,
I know exactly how you feel!! I'm normally pretty pale and whenever i go out in the sun, i'll burn and then freckle. I literally have to go in the sun everyday for a month straight to start even getting tan, it's annoying. And then at that point it's only a slight tan. But i hate looking pasty!! I started going to this place called Sundara in the city and it's amazing!!! I've been twice so far and it's a little pricey ($75 for a tan) but it is soooooo worth it! They spray you, bathing suit, topless, completely naked, your choice and then you stand in front of a million fans to dry off and then by the end of the night you are completely tan, i mean REALLY REALLY dark, but then after a shower it turns into a nice golden tan. Like i said, i've done it twice before and everyone has told me how great and natural it looks. So streaks, no weird palms, and not orange at all. I swear i wish the place was in Queens and i'd go everyday, lol. But i highly recommend it. I'm doing it before my wedding. The only bad part is that it doesn't last very long, they say 7 days but its more like 3. I used to try to go to tanning beds but to be honest they are SOOOOO bad for you, and a girl i went to college with got skin cancer from going way too much!! This is much safer and healthier and you'll look just as beautiful!! Sorry it's sooo long, but i know how you feel and i wish someone told me about this place sooner!!

One more thing ... don't go to a spray booth, they are horrible, you have to find an actual technician to do it for you ...

Oh also at Sundara they'll allow you to pick how dark you want. The first time i got it done was in June so i wanted to be a little darker than a regular tan, and the second time was just a few weeks ago so i wanted it to be more subtle ... it's a really great place, you should give it a test run.

i am SUPER pale - natural blondewith blue eyes and i have some freckles on my face......
i used to love tanning salons and the sun and used to get a real tan all the time even though i knew i should be avoiding the sun/tanning beds because my mom was diagnosed with skin cancer (melanoma - the deadly kind)
sooooo now because of genetics and tanning i have had almost 10 biopsies on irregular moles - (where they remove the top layer of the skin and biopsy it) once one of the biospies came back bad so they had to go back in and remove a lot more of skin to be safe and i had a really bad scar that i had corrected but its still really bad......and i have lots of other scars from the biopsies....all the moles that had to be removed looked like regular beauty marks.....
SO for the last two years i have been trying to avoid the sun......i use SPF at the beach and I do not go tanning anymore.....i used to think it was ugly to be pale but if you look at girls who regulary go tanning you can see the difference in their skin - uneven skin tone, dark spots on their faces, they have wrinkes at 25 and they look older and weathered AND tanning addicts dont realize how ridiculous they look b/c there is such a thing as too tan!
but anyway be kind to your skin.....you should avoid the tanning salon if you can......but to be totally honest i have a feeling i will go to the tanning salon before my wedding so that i am not ghostly pale on my honeymoon and so that i can build up a tan - even though i shouldn't be doing it, i want to look great on my honeymoon - and vanity is the reason sooooo many people get skin cancer
what i am getting at is that Airbrush Tanning can be great! i have gotten way darker with an airbursh tan than i ever gotten from hours in a tanning bed.....the only thing is that it doesnt last that long - it only looks good for about 3-4 days and it looks a little gross when it comes off.....i went for my engagement pictures and for my engagement party so check out my albums.....the place i go to is in staten island - and an actual guy sprays me while i am in my underwear if i had $$ i would seriously go every week - but since its expensive i buy a pacakge of 10 tans and save them for special occasions! you should try it out! good luck!
Im in the same boat as you here. But unfortunately mine was a melanoma. Thankfully caught in time but Im so scared now and so I have every mole I dont like removed. Its scarey.
