Since FH and I just started planning a few weeks ago, and are planning for this July, I have had several people ask me WHATS THE RUSH??

We have been together for 6 years and engaged for 1 year...

1. FMIL- complaining that i didn't register at Tiffany's ( like I can afford stuff there , let alone my friends and family, and she can't either, so ***)

2. my step brother complaining that I didn't book over the summer when his kids have off ( I am getting married on a Saturday , they could come in for the weekend)

3. My aunt saying, whats wrong with me, how come I don't want to get married in the city ( she lives there ) , and I don't

SORRY i don't want to plan my wedding around you!

Doesn't wedding bring out the worst in people???

oh wait! I have another one!
due to max capacity issues, we invited no one with '& guest.' well, My dads best friend and his wife just recently divorced. Both are invited to the wedding, and dads BF said that he isn't replying yet because he want's to know if his ex is coming....if she is he needs to bring a date!!!! Hello....I hope she likes the cold becasue she will be out on the patio if you bring one!!!!!

Geez...it's like they're in fifth grade or something...I would lie to the guy and tell him his ex isn't coming, then explain at the reception that she decided to come at the very last minute and you couldn't get in touch with him...treat them like fifth-graders

OMG this sort of thing happened to my FBIL and his wife. They didnt have flowergirls or ringbearers but like a week before their wedding FH's grandma told them that one of their cousins coming up from south carolina was bringing hte kids so they were going to be the ring bearer and flowergirls! AND THEY WERE! I guess they didn't want to fight that one!

To add to my dumb story: Two weeks before we recieved his 'No' RSVP he asked my mother if there was room in our driveway for his winnebego (sp?). Apparently, they had purchased one so they could drive up to the wedding WITH the dog. But I guess they scrapped that idea (but still purchased said winnebego) and sent back the RSVP as a 'no' without informing my parents. Needless to say they are extremely pissed (esp. my dad cuz it's his brother)

Such sillyness. I'm really enjoying this thread.
