My BM, who cannot afford to bring her fiance from TX, asked to bring 2 dates, her mom and bro...so her whole fam....

Sure thing...I just need to take a trip to the money farm!

Since FH and I just started planning a few weeks ago, and are planning for this July, I have had several people ask me WHATS THE RUSH??

We have been together for 6 years and engaged for 1 year...

Uggggghhhh that annoys me SOOOO much! when are you supposed to plan it, a week before?? Are they going to be there when you're breaking into hives and pulling your hair out a couple of days before the wedding because u have nothing booked

Right after FH and I got engaged, an older friend of the family tells us that having an open bar at the wedding is tacky.....FH and I were set on open bar before we even looked at RH's, so I wonder what she'll be thinking at the reception...

wow... I thought a cash bar was tacky!

i swear the things people come up with!

everything is tacky to someone!

while interviewing prospective photographers I asked if photog could air brush certain pics to cover unsightly moles and freckles on my arms, my gown is sleeveless.

He said it would be easier for him if I just got a dress with sleeves.

uh

@#$%^&*^%$#@$%^ c*ck s*cker

Right. And it would be easier for the RH if none of the guests wanted to eat, and easier for the DJ if everyone just wanted to hear the same song all night. W T F is he thinking????

I'll add. A confirmed bachelor in the family talked for a good 10 minutes to my mom and I about how weddings are a huge waste of money and instead of speaking 10K on a lavish wedding, he would rather take a really great honeymoon.
First of all, my wedding is a less than a month and your opinion at this point is just annoying? Second, do you really think that 10K can buy a lavish wedding or a private island, month-long honeymoon?

FMIL (who's i might add is not contributing much to the wedding) declares that we are spending WAY too much for our RH....our wedding would've been perfectly fine if we had it at the community rec center like she suggested

my FMIL said the same thing....mind you that she wanted it at HER community.....FH is from Western NY....bout 9 hrs away from LI....so im supposed to ask the 140 ppl on my side of the guest list to cart their butts up to Jamestown because it would be easier for the 35 on your side and so i can have a BBQ wedding......

My mom told us she wasn't going to come to our e-party so she could conserve money to pay for the reception.............but she went to acapulco for 9 days the same week as e-party!

I wished her montezumas revenge

ETA:

my Mom lives in Kansas

you know...FMIL kept goin on and on about how she cant help us with the wedding.....

she went out the NEXT DAY! they bought a new audi....

dont want your money anyway!

My FMIL never offered to help us either, but they are putting a 100K extention on their house.. I even mentioned how my parents also have my sisters wedding in 09 to help with and how money is tight and her response, 'well maybe your sister should wait a little longer'

freakin amazing!

I would've then said ' its ok don't worry i will take you off the guestlist, i wouldn't want to waste money on you'

Oh, you are so right. I could get a REALLY nice bottle of wine for the price of him coming to the wedding.
