BTW i was going back and forth on the day of the wedding prep.

and everyone was saying to have ALL the girls at my house in the morning to get THOSE pictures out of the way

but thank goodness i didnt tell them anything yet bc i am just going to have my side with me getting ready - i would probably be taking care of kids the morning of the wedding!!!

DO NOT take care of any kids the day of your wedding, you have worked so hard and have planned for how long now, seriously just enjoy your day. You need someone to really take charge of the situation, if you are the type of person who doesn't like to say things then have another person such as maybe your mother, MOH, or anyone who doesnt mind telling people straight up that listen tilde needs to get ready she cant sit here and take care of kids, this is her day lets let her enjoy it and relax and give her some space.

i dont really know who to tell

like this is the same girl that her mother thinks that she is wearing a BRIDAL tiara on my wedding day. . .so with THAT FMIL is on my side and she said she will help me get the point across to FSIL

B U T

with this, its a touchy subject - that is her granddaughter and i do not want to offend anyone.

FH is usually great at talking to his family for me BUT he totally doesnt get this so even though he said he would - i doubt it

my best friend is a teacher tho maybe she can scare her away from me LOL

it doesnt have to be done in a bad way, it can be said very nicely, dont feel bad for saying something just think about how you'll feel after if you didnt say something and you get stuck doing things you don't want to do...maybe have your mom or someone say from ahead of time when you're getting ready for all the kids to stay in one room and you can give them toys so this way they are not getting in the way. Then when she comes to you at other times such as the reception have another person say go up to the little girl nicely, take her by the hand and say come here i wanna show you something and bring her over to other kids to play with

day of - tell her to go do stuff for you. Like if you're taking pics or whatnot and she's hanging all over you, tell her you left your magic shoes under one of the tables and she has to go find them for you.

I hear ya Tilde.... its frustrating b/c you would hope the parents have enough common sense to watch the kids. I think they just get excited and dont know any better. FH's goddaughter did the same at our E-party..she was hanging all over me and kept jumping in every picture. FMIL finally said enough and brought her over to her mother and told her that her daughter was being disruptive

you have every right to be upset. that is ridiculous. as a teacher i have parents who think everything their child does is funny or could care less what they are doing and if what they are doing is bothering someone else.

i hope your FH talks to them!!
Im sorry titde!

I have a 2nd cousin who is in all over every picture at our E-party-
It is a weird thing but, I was happy that she will not be at my shower or reception. I couldnt stand her being everywhere,, I mean she is about 5 and she drove me crazy!!!

I dont think that you are psycho,, I think you have every right to want the child to be in controll, so to speak!

This happened at my sister's baby shower. Two of her friends brought there 4 year olds and once it was time to open gifts they just started tearing at them!!!! and there mother's were saying absolutely nothing. I just dont understand it. I had to literally go up there and be the 'bad' guy and tell them to stop b/c it was sooo hectic. Did they stop?...NO.. did there mother's even say anything or do anything to help...NO. So I gave up

I talked to my BM about it and she said she is going to take care of it at the wedding so I am feeling better about right now

I also feel a lot better about talking to FH tonight bc I know that you girls agree with me and I am not crazy and I should not back down

awww sweetie!!! i would be doing what your doing.. i would be so upset if not only was she in EVERY pic. but that she doesnt listen either and the fact that her mom is right there and not taking care of her would through me over the edge!!! speak your mind your RIGHT!!!! and im sure FH will understand! once he knows how upset you are.. i would be crying too! like you said.. you DONT have kids so she needs to know where the line is drawn! i cant wait to see the pics if it make syou feel better! im sure you looked AMAZING!
