UPDATE: HOW THE HECK do people find the audacity!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok so here is the update to my aunt inviting four extra people without consulting FH and I first, bringing ehr total from 2 to 6...
I spoke to my aunt a few days ago and although I had a minor anxiety attack ahead of time, it went surprisingly well. i think because I caught her at the aiport at the time, she didn't have room to yell. however, the first words out of ehr mouth after our intial polite words was 'I got your invite and my son is coming.' there was emphasis placed on the 'my son.' I calmly said my rehearsed lines, stressing that we had had to cut out several people among our friends, not jsust our family sue to the small budget and she was silent for a long moment before she said, 'no problem. I'll tell my son.' Again emphasis on the son.
I felt horrible because I am a very sensitive person which is why I hide behind a razor wit and she was being so calm about it I almost burst out telling her it was ok to bring him. But then I remembered all the years they snubebd me and my mom and how I was not invited to their wedding and I smiled and said,' Thank for being understanding, Titi. See you at the wedding. Love you.' She said the same and we hung up.
Now... I spoke to my dad and he said he's just waiting for the call because we know there must be buzzing behind the scenes. He said there is the possibility of them saying they are coming and not coming, but we are planning a plan B-to enlist my Uncle Nelson's help. He is the youngest of the clan and lives with my aunt and has nNO qualms about calling her out. We know even if the others do not come, he will because he reserved before the STd was sent out lol.
So right now I feel a little better though still waiting for the other shoe to drop. Lots of worries including damn witch at the post office who didnt wnat to take my invites that day to drop em into the bucket(wanted me topush em through the slot and they were bending.) Anyway after some arguing, she took them but now, I've had about 10 people tell me they never got one and we've only recieved 20 responses out of 70 invites sent so we're worried. if its not one damn thing its another!

You poor thing..I wouldnt wish that kind of situation on anyone! Makes you wish a little more Phish Food could cure all things!! Good luck with the phone call to the ingrates...stick to your guns and try to stay calm. We'll all keep our fingers crossed for you.

I so feel your pain because Im going through the same thing now. How dare you cross out what I wrote and add on guest and so forth. Excuse me are you payin for this. People are always trying to get over.

Tomorow night is the night girls. My mom wanted me to call when I go back home to visit so they can hear the conversation and there can be doubt of what i said because those relatives are known for re-writing history and I don't want more tension between my dad and I because it's known I have a short fuse and use sarcasm as my weapon of choice. Soooo have to wait till tomorrow night. im sure I will have more updates. OYE!

I have to say - as someone who did get 'knocked up before they were married' I am not too pleased with your description. I am sure you didnt mean to offend and were just mad when you wrote it, but perhaps you should be more careful of what you say on a community board.

Girl, I would have been furious. The simple fact that you werent even invited to their weddings and they thought they would be invited to yours is a joke. I wouldnt have been able to control myself! I hope you ask them why they thought it would be okay to bring people who didnt even invite you to their wedding. I thought my guestlist drama was bad. Now Im worried about the RSVP's too. My aunts are already saying I should invite my cousins boyfriends (who Ive never met) because theyre going to be 'bored'. How rude is that? Family can really surprise you huh?

I completely understand you and agree with you 110%. My wedding is more than a year away but I am already dreading all the drama that is going to be popping when we send invitations out. See my family knows how it is but his family is so tacky. I know we're going to hear the complains about the no kids and why we didn't invite so and so. His family just don't know how a wedding works cause no one in his family has ever been married so they think it's just a regular party that you can invite everyone and their mother. And the thing is they probably won't even bring gifts. For our engangement party everything we received was from my family. His family didn't even give a penny, not even his parents.

Im glad that went well with her but Im sure the call will come in to your father about the whole situation. You poor thing. Im sorry you have to deal with all of this. Just dont dirve yourself crazy, everything will work out in the end no matter what. :)
