Has anyone actually spoken to someone at VYC? I'm just wondering if anyone knows how long they will not be able to host events there? I know this weekend they are moving their weddings. I know my wedding is in 6 months so i have time, just nervous about how bad the damage is.

I know, just hoping so badly that they can fix it in time for April. I'm going to email them tmrw to see if they know anything yet. I'm sure they have their hands full with all the upcoming events in the next few weeks.

Yeah that's what everyone keeps telling me. I'm trying not to worry, just hate not knowing. I'm so impatient lol!

All I know is what they've posted on facebook. April is so far away. You have plenty of time.'We would like to thank everyone for the outpour of concern. Here is the latest update on VYC. At the moment it is not possible to host parties. We are moving parties over to our sister locations Crestwood Manor & Terrace on the Park. Yesterday was about moving this weekends events. We will continue making calls today. Our 'command central' is now at CWM. If you can not reach us please call 631-651-2626. Thanks'

Re: VYC Brides
Also - on their original FB post, they said they 'hope to be back to normal very soon.' I don't know what 'very soon,' is exactly, but I would definitely think it is less than 6 months. I am praying it is less than 4 months.
I haven been trying so hard not to think about it but now my anxiety is kicking in.

Thank you. It will be good to know. I want to call, but I can't justify bothering them when they probably have a million things going on right now and all of LI has bigger things to worry about. I am sending out my invitations in less than a month, so it would be good to know if I need to change any info sooner rather then later.

I know that is how I feel, I don't want to bother them. I just want to start looking for a new place, should I have to because at this point I can't change my date, everything is already booked. Plus I also finalized my invitations and was about I have them printed but I asked her to hold off in case I have to change any information. I just hope it doesn't come down to that.

I just made a posting about this too in a new thread. I am getting married there in August which doesn't seem all that close, but some information would be helpful.

I spoke to my DOC, they have heard that they will be back to normal shortly. They encouraged me to give the VYC next week to get in contact, then if I haven't heard anything, to call. I'd encourage you ladies to do the same! I do feel like if there were major damages, they will call very soon (if not already.)

Ladies - the Venetian just posted pictures on facebook. The biggest damage is to the side patio, dock, and siding. The pilings are still standing though, so hopefully it will be a fast and easy fix. I definitely think they can do all, if not most of the work before the holiday party season. The inside rooms still looks amazing, though it looks like the basement got flooded.

I just looked at the pictures. I was really shocked at the damage on the side patio and dock. But I agree with you it looks like the damage wasn't too bad, it could have been worse. They can do the work before or by the holiday party season.

They don't think they'll be ready in time for my wedding. I am waiting for a banquet manager to call. I am devastated.

The woman at crestwood manor told me mid February to early march. She wasn't sure what to do in my case. Waiting to hear from a BM. What would you ladies do?
