W T F Flower Michele

The bad reviews of Flower Michele just keep coming and coming! E-n-K, an '07 bride, wrote in her 7/28 review that they didn't even deliver ANY FLOWERS to the church and that all the BoKs were wilted. AKA...MY NIGHTMARE!

Is anyone else in a total panic?

it's a little stressful. i have an appt with them on friday, makes me a little nervous to say the least. i read a few reviews giving them bad grades.

There will always be some bad reviews in any business. I would voice any concerns to them if they are your vendor- it will give you peace of mind!

Seriously, though, you are right...my major concern is the traffic on my wedding day - Friday of Labor Day weekend. I'm so scared they'll be late. I'm obviously going to communicate that to them!

Oh no! I have an appt with them too. I have heard only good things till now so i was hoping that I would like what they had to say and book them.

Are there any florists with perfect reviews? Probably not.

i haven't booked with them but i'd hope that they are having difficulty because the recently lost someone.. and maybe they will get back on target.. if i ever gt an appt with them i'll try to tactfully ask what are their future staffing plans..

Ahhh, I read your other post about the difficulty getting an appointment. I had the same problem and I started a thread about it. I was annoyed because they had called me and told me to come in WAY back in May when I first signed up for LIW and of course entered the contest. I didn't call them until June - early July and when I did she said not until late August. I was freaking out b/c I wanted to get the florist DONE early. So, I just called back a week later and someone else picked up and was able to give me an appointment in a week!

No you're right - there are no florists with perfect reviews. Although, I think Pedestals has MOSTLY great reviews. So did FM until sooooo recently. I booked FM over Pedestals because I thought John was much more creative and helpful to a newbie like me who knows NOTHING about flowers than Marcella at Pedestals was.

i called flower michele for an appt i think the beginning of last week and i got one for this friday i called pedestals the same day and i have an appt tomorrow.

i guess i'll just wait and see on friday how they run the show. if they seem very unorganized, that's not a good sign.

I don't think they will seem that way at your appointment. Most of the recent complaints have said things like 'pre-wedding: A+, day of: C+.' John was AWESOME the day of my appointment. I was discouraged after my Pedestals appointment, b/c I didn't feel like I was getting 'help' since I was feeling clueless. John was up front with me, told me what I couldn't have, what I could have, and what would look nice. It helped A LOT. It's just the day of execution that brides seem to complain about...I hope that won't happen to me.

I'm going friday at 6. What time will you be there?

I wouldnt worry about FM though. We really liked John and believe that they will do everything spectacular on our day. Not everyone is going to have the best to say about a vendor.

Wow, that is so messed up...they had such a great reputation...hopefully everything will be back on track for them in 08...

i'll be there at 7pm unfortunately by myself FH is working and MOH is having surgery that day. wanna stay for my appt with me??

all these decisions to make....so hard to make one and know that it will turn out perfect,,,,,that is the day you will marry your fh, no matter what goes wrong, the day will be perfect as long as you say your i do's and you get to celebrate with your friends and family.....

I've been on here for a while now, and I've seen mostly good reviews for FM, but there's been a number of negative reviews. There could be a few things - obviously not delivering flowers is a HUGE mistake, but other times it could be a matter of conflicting tastes, very high bridal expectations (as we should have for the money we're paying) and inflated expectations because of reviews on here. Plus, every vendor is going to have a bad day or 10, so you almost just have to hope it's not your day.

One other thing I've noticed with big name florists in general is that many times they take artistic license and change the flowers to what they think looks best. It has happened to several of my friends. At the end of the day you really just have to go with your gut, and make sure you're clear with them as to what you want and how much you're willing to let them run with it.

if it's any consolation I went to my co-workers wedding this past saturday and she used flower michelle and her flowers were AMAZING!

Remember, no vendor is perfect. They are all going to have their 'bad days.' All you can hope is that their bad days are few and far between and that they don't coincide with your wedding.

hi. i booked flower michele and saw some of the bad reviews when i was on here last night. honestly, at first i was freaking out but then i realized its not worth freaking out over until its our wedding (and even then hopefully i'll stay calm). when we met with john we were very impressed and felt that he'd come through for us on our day. also, he told us that he over extended himself in 07 and that he plans on booking less in 08. this made me feel much better! i think the most important thing is to be 100% clear with him about what you want for the day of and it will be fine........(at least i'm hoping!)

btw jessica--you look amazing in your dress--i looked at the pics! beautiful!
