wedding band/ring costs (poll)

hey ladies!!

FH and I are going over our budget and we don't think we budgeted enough for our wedding bands.

TOTALLY anonymously of course... can you answer the poll!

I would say that any good, quality band is going to run you over 5k. The band I am using starts at 6600.

I would have to disagree here. I am getting a very good quality band with diamonds in it and my jeweler, who works in the diamond district in NYC (owns his own company), says it shouldn't cost more than $1500.

eta: Mine was less than $1000, white gold (my ering is platinum but you can't even tell the difference) and channel set diamonds.. ( near flawless adding up to almost a 1 K

I agree, a good quality band does not need to cost that much. Mine sure as heck doesn't!

That's bull.
My band is 14k gold with a diamond and 2 sapphires - $900... granted it's not blinged out or extravegant, but it's gorgeous and the quality is amazing.

Are you talking about your e-ring? My wedding band has diamonds and was $1000..

edit... ahh... she probably did mean her band as in musicians... all makes sense now

OMG i am having heart failure at some of these prices...we are going for our rings on Monday and I didn't expect it to be that much! The woman who did our engagement ring said they wouldn't be that bad...I am expecting to pay 2000 for both I might be wrong!!!

What? Maybe I'm just poor, but I can not afford to buy a band that much. How much did your e-ring cost?

The one our jeweler showed me and I FELL in LOVE with is 4000. (I can only get platinum b/c I'm allergic to white gold). And that's MORE than we budgeted.

FH saids not to fret about it b/c he give FH an amazing deal on my e-ring and so he'll probably give us the same discount for the wedding band, but I am still fretting! lol

Plus, I wanted to get a plainer everyday band.

I'm the one that said mind your own business cause I had no other answer

I don't know what to do about bands, FH wants simple boring white gold or platinum and he wants me to have the same. Its just not me... and I don't know what is... nothing looks right to me.

And my e-ring is impossible to match.
