How do you feel about venues with multiple events going on at once???
Are they actually private like the places SAY or should I expect to be seeing guests of other weddings???
I am bombarding this forum with questions but I have sooooooooo many questions!

Re: Wedding Factories
I went to one wedding where I was directed to the wrong cocktail hour. I was sitting there with my date and I didn't know anyone, then all of a sudden the Bride came out and I had no idea who she was. That same wedding, some girls from another wedding were drunk and they threw up all over the bathroom.
At another place, the MOH sang a song for the bride and groom and you could hear the music from the other party Thumping.
I prefer a place that is one wedding at a time, but it wasn't the most important thing for me.

Re: Wedding Factories
The wedding factories I am considering are Crest Hollow and Leonard's. I've heard mixed reviews on both.
Any feedback would be appreciated.

Re: Wedding Factories
The Milleridge Carriage House is small and looked pretty, and its a separate building so no other brides in that building. However, the CH hour is in the same building, so I'm not sure how taht would work.

Re: Wedding Factories
I don't like it at all, though I almost picked a place that has mutiple events. I want to be the only bride.

Re: Wedding Factories
Unless the place is too small to handle more than one wedding at a time, I really don't mind (unless of course I see another bride on my wedding day, and she is marrying MY FH! But as long as she's marrying someone else, I'm okay with it!)

Re: Wedding Factories
I'm getting married at Leonard's and I don't think it will be a huge deal. You don't share the bridal suite with any other brides and there is one wedding per floor (although there may be other kind of parties going on on the same floor). I am getting married on a Friday night in the middle of November so I doubt it will be an issue.

i like your attitude!
i got married at crest hollow and had a wonderful wedding! once we were inside the reception, it didn't matter to me and my guests seemed to find the cocktail hr. just fine...
it might be that we're a bunch of filipinos, loud and rowdy---hard to miss us!
i think it's okay if you're willing to save $

We went to a wedding at Leonards this weekend. There were 4 other events going on at the same time. We did see a lot of guests from the other parties. I didn't see any of the other brides. The only bad thing was that three of the events got out at the same time and the lines for the coat check and the valet were really long. But the place was great.

most of the time you don't see the bride... but you will see the guests moving from cocktail to dinner... I used to work at one of them a million years ago... that's why I wanted a place like Flowerfield.... one bride..... all the best!!!
Hell yeah on Flowerfield... besides the fact that I fell in love with the place when I went to see it, it was a huge draw how much emphasis they put on giving you personal attention and how the moment the bride walks in the door, that's where their focus goes, and nobody but those invited or working can come in the building. I had originally booked Fox Hollow, which is beautiful but does two parties at a time, and then decided I needed to look around more, and I'm so glad I did because now I'll have a place that really will be my own little world for the night.

Re: Wedding Factories
I heard a few scary stories about sharing bathrooms and other guests. But I knew I always wanted a place that had only one wedding at a time

Re: Wedding Factories
depends, but to be honest i didnt even think about it, i fell in love with east wind's estate and it has multiple weddings at a time.. i do not consider it a wedding 'factory' because that seems negative and i dont think it is a negative at least at east wind because where i am getting married, the estate is completely separate from the other rooms, you would need to go out of your way to see another bride

It was important to us to find a place that only did one wedding at a time.

I fell in love with CB almost instantly-so I dont mind there being other weddings...I think I will be a little too wrapped up in all that is going on to notice

Re: Wedding Factories
I got married at the Estate at East Wind...In my building, there is only 1 wedding at a time but when we went to check into our hotel room at the Inn at East Wind at 6:30 that night, there was a bride taking pics in there and she was FLIPPING OUT because I was in there...I could hear her bridesmaids saying stuff to her about me being in there...Totally immature considering my wedding was over and I was just checking into the hotel.

Re: Wedding Factories
There was an anniversary at my hall. But they were upstairs and I really didn't see all but 3 people. I guess it depends how the place is set up

Re: Wedding Factories
I really think it depends on the place.....My friend got married at Chateau La Mer and they have 2 weddings at a time, but you are on different levels, so you really don't see each other all that much. I chose a place that had only one event, just because I wanted that and liked the place.

Re: Wedding Factories
I would try and stay away from halls that do more then 2 a day because that could def get hectic also I believe that it also depends on the hall if they have a good reputation of being able to take care of more then one affair at a time and to still give each bride that personal touch
